Japan Tobacco Launches Sustainability Initiative!

Japan Tobacco says it is launching a new sustainability initiative to strengthen ties with local communities and support nonprofit groups, aiming to advance the company’s sustainability goals and broader social development.
To enhance the engagement between the group company and the Japanese community, and to promote the mutual development of business and society, Japan Tobacco has announced that it will launch a new initiative to promote the achievement of the company's sustainability goals, while also initiating a support program for non-profit organizations to foster sustainable development across society.<\/span>

Indeed, since 1999, Japan Tobacco Group has donated up to 1.49 billion yen to 1,202 non-profit organizations globally, including those within Japan, to support the development of these non-profit civil organizations.<\/p>

Chigusa Ogawa, head of Japan Tobacco Group's sustainability office, stated that as a responsible community member and enterprise, Japan Tobacco Group will establish good partnerships with the community, which is the foundation for the company's future development.<\/p>

At the same time, the group company also expresses gratitude to the public for their understanding and support regarding the company's efforts to promote sustainable social development.<\/p>
