Taobao and Tmall Remove E-Cigarettes, Alibaba Says It Is Following Regulations
Alibaba said it removed e-cigarette stores and products from Taobao and Tmall on Nov. 6 in response to regulatory requirements, joining other major Chinese e-commerce platforms.
On November 7, Alibaba announced that on November 6, in accordance with the notification requirements from the Zhejiang Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Bureau regarding the immediate closure of <\/span>e-cigarette<\/a> stores and the removal of e-cigarette products, Alibaba Group is required to immediately close e-cigarette stores on its platform and promptly remove e-cigarette products.<\/span>
