India's Vaping Market Faces a Complete Ban
On September 18, the Indian Finance Minister stated in New Delhi that India would completely ban e-cigarettes. The decree was passed by the trade union cabinet and submitted to the President.

Indian Finance MinisterNirmala Sitharaman pointed out that the ban is very strict, prohibiting the production, manufacturing, import and export, transportation, sales, distribution, storage of e-cigarettes and advertising of e-cigarettes and other businesses related to e-cigarettes.
The ordinance stipulates that smokers who violate the law for the first time will be jailed for one year and fined.For 10,000 rupees (about 995 yuan), the penalty for repeated offenders will be increased.
The bill is currently awaiting approval by Parliament in November.
