How to Tell the Difference Between Local and Duty-Free FIIT Melon Versions
Different FIIT packaging doesn’t necessarily mean it’s fake. It may simply be the difference between local and duty-free versions; Korean duty-free packs usually have a DUTY FREE label, while Japanese ones do not.
Some people saw different FIIT packaging and suspected they had bought fake products, so they came to ask me. Actually, it is just the difference between local-market FIIT and duty-free versions. Today I’ll show you how to tell local and duty-free apart. In general, Korean duty-free tobacco sticks will have the words DUTY FREE printed on them, but Japanese versions do not.
The one on the top in the picture is the duty-free version, and the one on the bottom is the version sold in local Korean convenience stores. Here is another side-view picture.
