This guide shows how to identify counterfeit Korean lil heaters by appearance. Keep in mind that copycat manufacturers may improve their fakes, so these tips may only be temporarily effective.
Last time, I showed everyone the differences in the internal mainboard of counterfeit lil devices. Many readers added me on WeChat to ask how to tell a counterfeit lil from the exterior. Because of time constraints, I had to delay this post. Today, I’ll show you how to identify genuine and counterfeit lil devices. However, counterfeit manufacturers will definitely continue improving them, so the identification methods in this article may only be effective for now.

From the exterior, the counterfeit lil is actually made fairly well, but fake is fake after all. You can spot it from the gap around the cap.
After removing the cap, you can see that the inside is also made to look very similar, but there is one extra circular ring!
The simplest identification method is the cotton swab. The factory that makes the cleaning swabs is likely a large manufacturer and probably does not want to take the risk of printing logos, so they do not print one. There is no LIL logo on the cotton swab! In summary, you can tell whether a LIL is genuine or fake from these three points, but I can’t guarantee that the manufacturer won’t continue upgrading and improving the counterfeits later on!
