What Vape Brands Are Available in South Korea? Which Korean Vape Is Better?

Key point: South Korea has a large number of young vape users, making it an important market for vaping devices. A wide variety of vape brands are competing there, and data shows smoking remains common among Koreans aged 19 and above.

In fact, many young people in South Korea use vaping devices, making it an important market for the industry, with all kinds of vape brands competing for attention. Data shows that the smoking rate among South Koreans aged 19 and above is 22.4%, down by more than 10 percentage points compared with 20 years ago. However, the usage rate of vaping devices is on the rise, with 4.3% marking the highest figure since statistics began in 2013. Among adults aged 19 and above, 7.1% of men use vaping devices, compared with 1.1% of women.

Another sign of the growing popularity of vaping devices in South Korea is the sharp increase in sales of related products in recent years. According to statistics, one domestic Korean vape brand saw its third-quarter local sales rise 11.8% year-on-year, while a well-known American atomization vape brand sold 6.1 million boxes in a single month after launching in South Korea in May this year. Given the country’s relatively small population, that sales volume is quite remarkable.

What Vape Brands Are Available in South Korea?

South Korea’s vape market has grown rapidly, with many popular brands emerging. These brands offer a wide variety of devices and flavors to meet the needs of different consumers.

In the Korean market, whether it is heated tobacco, closed-system pod devices, or larger open-system products, all have significant market potential. This is one of the biggest characteristics of an emerging market: strong inclusiveness. According to Korean authority media outlet NewsVaper, the acceptance of large vapor products in the Korean market is very high. Whether it is devices, e-liquid, or atomizers, Chinese companies have frequently appeared on product popularity rankings over the years.

In South Korea, major vape brands include Tesla, SMOK, and ADVKEN.

In addition to international brands, South Korea also has some local vape brands, such as BM Bros and InnoCigs. These brands often launch flavors tailored to Korean preferences, which helps attract local consumers.

In interviews with Chinese companies by NewsVaper, Tesla’s new products—whether the PUNK 86W mod or the WEY POD pod device—have both been very popular in the Korean market.

As for ADVKEN, its classic Manta and OWL atomizers have consistently occupied top-three positions in South Korea’s liquid vape rankings, showing just how strong the brand is.

Then there is SMOK. As one of the classic powerhouses in Korea’s domestic MOD device segment, its popularity is beyond doubt.

However, convenience stores, which account for 70% of vape circulation channels, have temporarily suspended sales of liquid vaping products. Four major Korean convenience store chains—GS25, CU, 7Eleven, and Emart24—decided to halt sales of four liquid vape products. This came after the Korean government advised people on Wednesday to stop using liquid vaping products and pledged to accelerate research to determine whether to impose a full ban. The move could impact major producers such as U.S. vaping giant JUUL and local tobacco company KT&G.

We believe South Korea’s vape market offers a wide range of choices, from globally known brands to local labels. The best vape brand for you will depend on your taste and needs. Whether you are looking for stylish devices or distinctive flavors, South Korea’s vape market can meet your expectations.
