According to a recent report by tkgorod, a 10th-grade student in Angarsk, Russia developed sudden nausea during a school break and was immediately taken away by ambulance personnel.
According to reports, the student had used an e-cigarette with friends in the school restroom during the break and then suddenly fainted. Just a few puffs caused him to lose consciousness.
Larisa Lysak, head of the Angarsk city education administration, acknowledged that the incident occurred and said preventive education has already been carried out for the students involved and their parents. The school will decide whether the individuals involved should be formally placed on record.
The prosecutor’s office has launched a separate investigation into the incident.
This is not the first incident involving student e-cigarette use in the Angarsk area. In April last year, the parent of a middle school student was penalized for the child’s e-cigarette abuse. Notably, youth misuse of e-cigarettes is not only a problem in Angarsk; doctors have long warned about excessive e-cigarette use among teenagers.
