France’s New Prime Minister Attal Shares His Predecessor’s Habit of Vaping
Breaking news from Le Figaro reported on January 9 that Gabriel Attal, 34, has succeeded Élisabeth Borne as the Prime Minister of France.
He chose to transition to the role of Prime Minister just five months after serving as Minister of Education. The former spokesperson for the "La République en marche" party is known for his energy, ambition praised by most of his peers, and communication skills, which have helped him navigate his new challenges.
However, while he appears energetic in the face of many challenges, he also has his own habits for coping with stress. According to Le Figaro, he is described as an "anxious young man" who often drinks zero-calorie cola in between using his vaping device.
This is one of two commonalities he shares with former Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, who faced criticism from the opposition for frequently vaping in the National Assembly, despite related bans.
