Australia to regulate prescription vaping devices by March 1

In Australia, all doctors and nurses are now qualified to prescribe electronic cigarettes for smoking cessation or managing nicotine dependence.

To strengthen the standards for therapeutic electronic cigarettes, Australia is expected to implement further regulations by March 1, 2024.

For example, prescribed electronic cigarettes will have restrictions on nicotine content, limits on flavor types, and standardized medical-style packaging.
