Four men in Malaysia were arrested for selling e-cigarettee-liquid mixed with cannabis, and police seized a large quantity of cannabis vape e-liquid during the raids. One of the four suspects had six previous drug-related offenses on record.

According to a breaking report by Malaysia’s The Star on October 4, police in Kota Kinabalu arrested four men in the suburban areas of Penampang and Putatan on suspicion of selling e-liquid for e-cigarettes adulterated with cannabis. The four men, aged between 22 and 31, were arrested in three separate raids carried out on the 3rd and 4th local time.

Penampang district police chief Sammy Newton said in an interview that the narcotics unit also seized 31 bottles of cannabis-infused vape e-liquid worth about RM5,600 (approximately RMB 8,700) during the operation. He explained that police first raided a residence in Bundusan, Penampang at around 10 p.m. and arrested the first suspect. The 22-year-old suspect was found carrying one bottle of cannabis-mixed vape e-liquid.

Newton said that after questioning the man, officers traced another house in the same residential area and arrested two more men, aged 29 and 31. Police found four boxes containing bottles of cannabis vape e-liquid in their possession.

Newton added that the fourth suspect was arrested at 12:05 a.m. the next day. Police seized five boxes of the same type of vape e-liquid from him and also found a large box containing 21 bottles of vape e-liquid at his home in Putatan.

Police said all four suspects tested positive for cannabis in urine tests. One of the suspects was also found to have six previous drug-related criminal records. The case remains under further investigation.
