Major UK and Ireland Retailer Superdrug Delists Disposable E-Cigarettes

Major retailer Superdrug has confirmed that it will ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes in all its stores in the UK and Ireland due to concerns that millions of disposable e-cigarettes could harm the environment.

Previously, while Superdrug did not sell disposable e-cigarettes online, the average weekly sales in its physical stores reached 1,300 units. The retailer is currently planning to clear its physical store inventory by the end of this year.

Superdrug is the second-largest retailer in the UK after Boots UK and is part of the Watsons Group, with nearly 900 stores in the UK and Ireland.
