EU imported about €3.3 billion worth of vapes in 2022, with 59% from China

According to data from Eurostat, in 2022, the 27 EU countries imported directly from Chinae-cigarettesThe total value is approximately 1.95 billion euros (accounting for 59% of the EU's total e-cigarette imports), and the total weight is 26,136,453 kilograms.

Newsletter On September 19, according to data released by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat), the two top statistics compiled the import and export data of e-cigarettes for the 27 member states of the European Union in 2022. The details are as follows:

Imported e-cigarettes:

• Total imports: 3,294,126,809 euros, approximately 3.294 billion euros.

• Total import weight: 56,021,982 kilograms, equivalent to 56,000 tons.

Export e-cigarettes:

• Total export value: 1,297,871,630 euros, approximately 1.298 billion euros.# p#pagination title #e#

• Total export weight: 30,780,616 kg, equivalent to 30,800 tons.

Net imported e-cigarettes:

• Total net imports: 1,996,255,179 euros, approximately 1.996 billion euros.

• Total net import weight: 25,241,366 kg, equivalent to 25,000 tons. 

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, in 2022, China's total e-cigarette exports will be approximately US$9.886 billion, with a total export weight of 163,400 tons. Among them, e-cigarettes directly exported to the 27 EU countries accounted for 19.61%(about 1.814 billion euros) of China's total exports and 15.23%(about 24,900 tons) of the total weight.

According to data from Eurostat, in 2022, the total value of e-cigarettes imported directly from China by the 27 EU countries is 1,953,286,599 euros, or approximately 1.95 billion euros (accounting for 59% of the EU's total e-cigarette imports), and the total weight is 26,136,453 kilograms.
