[Two Supreme News] According to the Manila Times on August 27, PMFTC will launch a new product that supports Republic Act No. 11900 (also known as the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act).
Denis Gorkun, President of PMFTC, stated at a forum in Manila that the company will soon launch an innovative product named IQOS ILUMA in the Philippines.
Gorkun mentioned that this device is more consumer-friendly as it uses induction technology for heating instead of combustion. The 11900 Act, passed in 2022, regulates the import, manufacture, sale, packaging, distribution, and use of vaporized nicotine and non-nicotine products as well as novel tobacco products.
Gorkun stated that this law opens the door for scientifically-based innovative products that serve as better alternatives to traditional cigarettes.
