Gansu Cracks Major Online Vape Manufacturing and Sales Case, 16 Suspects Arrested
Recently, under the strong guidance of the Economic Investigation Detachment of the Baiyin Public Security Bureau and with major support from relevant technical departments, the Pingchuan Branch of the Baiyin Public Security Bureau in Gansu Province, together with the Pingchuan District Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, carried out a coordinated crackdown on the “6.04” illegal tobacco products case in Pingdingshan and Xuchang, Henan Province, among other locations. A total of 16 suspects were successfully arrested. Police dismantled 2 production and processing sites, 2 storage and distribution sites, and 1 customer service and sales site. At the scene, authorities seized 1,569 bottles of various fruit-flavored e-liquid, 681 vape devices, 1,832 boxes of pods, 15,324 empty pods, 1,532 hole punchers, 246 milk-tea-cup-style vaping devices, and 1 receipt printer.
In addition, authorities seized RMB 100,000 in cash and impounded 8 computers and 38 mobile phones used in the operation. The on-site value of the seized goods exceeded RMB 200,000, achieving a full-chain crackdown from production and processing to the sales end.



So far, the verified amount involved in the case has reached RMB 5 million, with capital flows exceeding RMB 11 million. In accordance with the law, 6 people have been criminally detained and 5 released on bail pending trial. The case is still under further investigation.
