Recently, Turkey's Ministry of Commerce customs enforcement team seized 25,000 illegal vaping devices worth 2.5 million lira at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.

The customs enforcement team identified that these vaping devices were smuggled into Sabiha Gokcen Airport through illegal means, attempting to enter the Turkish illegal market for sale.

When customs checked the documents for goods transferred to the storage area, they found that the goods were declared as "beauty care products." An X-ray inspection of the packages revealed similar suspicious densities in all packages.

During the physical search initiated, customs discovered a large number of vaping devices inside the packages, confirming that the quantity of these illegally smuggled vapes was 25,000. It is understood that the value of the smuggled goods is approximately 2.5 million lira, which has been completely confiscated.

As of now, the Istanbul Anatolia Chief Prosecutor's Office continues to investigate this incident.
