Collected 100 Million Yuan in Dividends: China's Vaping Industry's "Manufacturing Power" Is Astonish

Core tip: It's already July—what's new in the vaping industry? Recently, news drew attention that a battery company received over 100 million yuan in dividends from a vaping giant, which is enviable. It is reported that this...

It's already July, look at ite-cigarette industryWhat's new?

Recently, I noticed a piece of news that a battery company receivede-cigarettesThe giant's dividends of more than 100 million yuan are enviable.

It is reported that this company is Yiwei Lithium Energy. What is interesting is that Yiwei Lithium Energy is also a battery new energy giant with a market value of over 100 billion yuan. It recently stated that EBIL, a wholly-owned company of Yiwei Lithium Energy, has received a cash dividend of HK$152 million from its shareholding company Simmore International.

It is understood that Yiwei Lithium Energy, a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, issued an announcement stating that the company's wholly-owned grandson, EVE BATTERY INVESTMENT LTD (EBIL), holds 1.901 billion shares of Simmore International and is expected to receive a cash dividend of HK$152 million. As of the date of this announcement, EBIL has received the cash dividend of HK$152 million. nbsp;

(E-cigarette dividends are enviable)

It can also be seen from the information that Yiwei Lithium holds more than 1.9 billion shares of Simmore, ande-cigarette companies"Deep bundling" can be said to be a "strong alliance".

The news also shows that Simmore International had previously listed as the "No. 1 share of e-cigarettes", which once caused Liu Jincheng, founder of Yiwei Lithium Energy, to exceed 74 billion yuan.

At present, Yiwei Lithium holds shares in Simmore International, accounting for approximately 32.44% of Simmore International's issued share capital. The data also shows that Simmore International's net profit in 2022 will be 2.51 billion yuan, compared with 5.287 billion yuan in 2021. Although profits decline, it still maintains profits on investment. From batteries, mobile phones, headphones, Bluetooth to e-cigarettes, Yiwei Lithium Energy also interprets the myth of the investment world. In fact, Yiwei Lithium, which is good at discovering air outlets, has targeted e-cigarettes several years ago. In March 2014, Yiwei Lithium Energy announced a large purchase of 439 million yuan.McQuay"50.1% equity. I remember that before the acquisition, McWeir's annual revenue in 2012 was only 5.1627 million, but in 2013 it was already 167.9 million. During the period, the focus was that in 2012, there was only a profit of 42,800, but the net profit in 2013 was already 31.7472 million, and the profit in 2014 exceeded 100 million. Later, the two sides jointly studiede-cigarette market, do a good job in making the e-cigarette industry chain bigger and stronger. In the early days, McQuail also began to take over from the United Statese-cigarette brandsNJOY and Logic's orders are gradually increasing.

(The wealth-making myth of investment in the battery industry is bound to move to a new stage)

It can be seen that as the supply chain position of China's e-cigarette industry is increasingly consolidated and strengthened, domestic giant manufacturing companies have joined forces to jointly develop the e-cigarette business, naturally including the biggest cake at present, which is the "international market cake"!

Of course, as e-cigarettes mature in the sea, they have also moved from manufacturing to brand competition, from attacking Europe and the United States to attacking the world, including Europe, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and other markets.

IVG's "four bombs at one time" is originally plagiarism?

July 2 news, recently, the founder of Happy Vibes said: IVG copied us. It can be clear that Happy Vibes 'related product Twist was released much earlier than the IVG 2400. It said that the IVG2400 is not really the "first compliant one-time bill." It is reported that Happy Vibes will officially launch Twist on December 7, 2022. The press release clearly describes Twist's product features: built-in 4 differentthe cartridge, you can switch flavors by rotating, and emphasized that this is the first product to achieve this function under the premise of legal compliance: "This is only for export. Copying products imported in the UK will face the same risks and even be solved." Happy Vibes analyzed: "In addition, relevant regulatory agencies have always encouraged innovation and attached importance to intellectual property protection. Once the "fraud" is confirmed, it is very likely to affect the renewal of the license of the licensed company, and the OEM company will definitely not lose the big because of small things." According to Happy Vibes, Happy Vibes 'lawyers are making preliminary preparations. Even if it is not from the perspective of intellectual property rights, the plagiarism may be suspected of violating the anti-unfair competition law-in other words, the plagiarism may be difficult to sell normally as expected.

It is reported that Happy Vibes has applied for as many as 12 patents, including the core patent of "a multi-oil-bin rotatable e-cigarette." According to Owen Guo, if you continue to adopt this rotary design, you must "step on the pit" like Happy Vibes, but the corresponding solutions have been protected by patents. The ins and outs of "the UK's first compliant 2400 one-off" are now clear.& nbsp;

Illegal e-cigarettes in Australia reach 80%!

On July 2, the recent four-day Global Nicotine Forum 2023 (GFN23) was held at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, Poland. The theme of this forum is "Reducing Tobacco Harm-The Next Decade." The forum attracted senior practitioners, scientists and scholars from international tobacco companies, well-known international universities, non-profit organizations and research institutions. As the official cooperative media of GFN23, Two Supremes participated in and reported on the agenda of important meetings of the forum.

Dr. Carolyn Beaumont, Australia's general practitioner and founder of MedicalNicotine, delivered a speech at the 2023 Global Nicotine Forum (GFN) to discuss the consequences of Australia's ban on over-the-counter e-cigarettes. After Australia implemented a prescription e-cigarette system, it failed to ban the use of non-prescription e-cigarettes. In places densely populated by teenagers, such as music festival venues, the illegal use of disposable e-cigarettes by teenagers is very serious. Beaumont pointed out: "E-cigarettes are everywhere in music festivals, mainly because of participants and young people under the age of 21." The vast majority of this group buy disposable e-cigarettes on the black market, a trend that is soaring in Australia. Because the products are officially illegal, festival participants keep them during the event and discard them after the event to avoid detection by security. Despite the ban, the illegal e-cigarette market in Australia is still booming. Dr Beaumont estimates that these illegal e-cigarettes account for 80 per cent of all e-cigarette use and almost 100 per cent of use among young people.

Malaysia's e-cigarette oil lacks warning labels!

On July 2, it was reported that Malaysia lacks specific regulations and regulatory measures to control e-cigarette products, which is worrying. In Malaysia, e-cigarette liquids that can be purchased lack clear information about nicotine content. Some products provide vague descriptions, omitting units such as mg, or provide numerical values without specifying their relationship to nicotine content.

In addition, online merchants fail to clearly specify nicotine levels, and some sellers only display numbers and labels in purchase options, without specifying nicotine concentration. These situations highlight the potential health risks that failure to comply with regulations and can pose to unsuspecting e-cigarette users, especially young people who may not be aware of the dangers of these substances.

Canada requires manufacturers to release half-year sales data for e-cigarettes!

On July 2, the Canadian government recently announced the "E-Cigarette Product Reporting Regulations", requiring manufacturers to disclose information on the sales and ingredients of their e-cigarette products to the Ministry of Health Canada.

The regulations will take effect from the date of registration. Manufacturers of e-cigarette products must submit their initial sales reports within one month after the first full semi-annual reporting period after the regulation takes effect. For example, if registration takes place in June 2023, the first full semi-annual cycle will run from July 1 to December 31, 2023, and sales reports must be submitted on or before January 31, 2024. After the initial report, sales reports must be submitted semi-annually and must be submitted on or before the last day of the month following each semi-annual cycle. Any manufacturer who violates section 7.3(1) of the Tobacco and Electronic Cigarette Products Act commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or both. This means that Canada must have a "reporting" system for e-cigarettes in the future. Currently, Canada has also increased e-cigarette controls, such as prohibiting the promotion of e-cigarette products in places where young people can see them, requiring warnings about the risks of e-cigarettes to be displayed on advertisements and packaging labels, and limiting the concentration of nicotine in e-cigarette products. The second legislative review of the Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products Act is underway.

Russia's e-cigarette law is moving from a prescription-oriented implementation!

On July 2, it was reported that the 26th "St. Petersburg International Economic Forum" was recently held at the St. Petersburg International Convention and Exhibition Center, Russia. Jointly discuss issues such as the regulatory direction, future challenges and solutions for the Russian tobacco and alcohol industry. Sergey Katasonov emphasized that a major focus of the tobacco market at present is new nicotine products, especially e-cigarette products. Currently, 90% of e-cigarettes on the Russian market are illegal products. He believes that the key to combating illegal nicotine products lies in strengthening regulatory measures.

He also mentioned the need to unify the tobacco consumption tax rate and emphasized that countries should maintain the stability of the tobacco consumption tax rate. For example, if Russia raises the tobacco consumption tax rate, other countries should also adjust the tax rate accordingly. If Russia reduces the tax rate, other countries should also limit the increase in tax rates to keep the tax rate at a stable level of 13%. Oleg Balvin, general manager of British American Tobacco (BAT) Russia, suggested that the government should first list tobacco as a national strategic material and implement a tracking and navigation system to prevent illegal products from entering the country illegally; secondly, it should include the retail network in supervision and adopt corresponding regulatory measures to prevent offline retail stores from "bypassing" national laws and regulations and continuing to sell illegal products.
