Dazhou Solves Its First Criminal Case Involving Vaping Devices: 3 Storage Warehouses Dismantled, Cas
Starting from May 1 of last year, the E-cigarette Management Measures clearly stipulate that
the sale of flavored e-cigarettes other than tobacco flavor is prohibited.
However, driven by huge profits,
some non-tobacco flavored e-cigarettes
have made a comeback.
Recently, the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Tongchuan District, Dazhou City, in conjunction with the public security authorities, arrested three suspects trading in a garage in Tongchuan District, seizing over 13,000 suspected counterfeit e-cigarette pods, confiscating two vehicles involved, and 100,000 RMB in cash, dismantling three storage locations, with a case value exceeding 400,000 RMB.
This is also the first criminal case involving e-cigarettes solved in Dazhou City. Currently, several suspects have been criminally detained.

Parents report
Children addicted to fruit-flavored e-cigarettes.
"My child has gotten into fruit-flavored e-cigarettes. I found out he was secretly smoking fruit-flavored e-cigarettes, and after I confiscated one, he secretly bought another." In early February of this year, the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Tongchuan District received complaints from the public.

Based on this lead, the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Tongchuan District coordinated actively, contacting the police and the prosecutor's office to intervene simultaneously. After more than a month of investigation, the police ultimately tracked the activities and financial flows of the criminals and decided to launch an arrest operation. During the May Day holiday, law enforcement officers apprehended three suspects trading in a garage in Tongchuan District. At the scene of the arrest, two vehicles involved were found with the trunks and back seats filled with 20 carefully disguised boxes full of e-cigarettes, each containing over 200 boxes of fruit-flavored "three-no" e-cigarettes.
Where do counterfeit e-cigarettes come from?
It is understood that two of the three suspects are distributors with e-cigarette operating qualifications in Dazhou City, while the other is responsible for organizing supplies from Shenzhen and selling them to Dazhou, acting merely as an intermediary.
According to tobacco enforcement personnel, if this batch of counterfeit e-cigarettes had not been successfully intercepted, they would have quickly flowed into Dazhou City and surrounding counties, including Nanchong and Guang'an, seriously endangering consumer health.
The Dazhou Tobacco Monopoly Bureau
warns the public:
According to national regulations, the sale of e-cigarettes must be compliant and legal. Consumers should purchase e-cigarettes from legitimate channels to avoid buying "three-no" counterfeit e-cigarettes. Additionally, the sale of flavored e-cigarettes other than tobacco flavor and e-cigarettes that allow for the addition of atomization substances is now fully prohibited in the country.
If you know someone selling or using similar e-cigarettes, please promptly call 12313 to inform the local Tobacco Monopoly Bureau.
