1,000 Non-Compliant Vaping Devices Seized in Notting Hill, UK: Tank Sizes Eight Times the Legal Limi

According to foreign reports today, among the 1,000 illegal devices seized from a store in Notting Hill, UK, there were e-cigarette products with tank sizes exceeding the legal limit by eight times.

The Kensington and Chelsea Council, which conducted the raid, warned that the risk of unaware teenagers purchasing illegal e-cigarettes is increasing.

Some e-cigarettes had a capacity of 16 milliliters—allowing for about 7,000 puffs—far exceeding the UK's legal limit of 2 milliliters, which allows for 600 to 800 puffs.

During the raid by trade standards officials, 27 unsafe travel adapters, 9 bags of tobacco, and 62 packs of shisha were also discovered. The council stated on Wednesday that the seized e-cigarette pens had capacities ranging from 5 milliliters to 16 milliliters, with puff counts between 3,000 and 7,000.
