France Considers Banning Disposable Vaping Products
Today, on May 3, reports indicate that France is considering banning disposable vaping products. This ban could become part of a new anti-smoking plan being developed by the Ministry of Health over the next five years.

French Health Minister François Braun stated on Wednesday that the government may ban the use of disposable e-cigarettes by the end of this year.
"I support the ban," Braun told France Inter, adding that these devices lead some of our young people to consume tobacco, according to AFP reports today.
He mentioned that smoking is a scourge that claims 75,000 lives each year in France.
Although President Emmanuel Macron's government does not have a majority in Parliament, ministers will work with lawmakers to reach an agreement on the ban.
He added that it could be enacted before the end of this year.
This ban may become part of the new anti-smoking plan being developed by the Ministry of Health over the next five years.
Sweet and fruity disposable e-cigarettes—known as "puffs" in France—are sold in colorful packaging, with an estimated cost of 8 euros ($8.83) to 12 euros for 500 puffs (inhalations).
