According to the Department of Medical Services Administration, there have been multiple incidents requiring emergency medical assistance due to nicotine and other chemicals present in electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

The department believes that electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products pose risks and contribute to drug abuse and other addictive behaviors, adversely affecting the health and lifestyles of adolescents.

The department urges more communication and awareness regarding the harms of these products, recommending that health departments advise local people's committees to issue directives to regularly promote the harmful effects of traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and heated tobacco products, and to swiftly implement regulations and strengthen inspection activities.
