Xinyu, Jiangxi Investigates Sale of Milk-Tea-Cup Flavored Vaping Products Harmful to Youth
According to China Quality News, recently, the Market Supervision Administration, Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, and Public Security Bureau of Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, jointly investigated a case involving the sale of "milk tea cup" flavored e-cigarettes.
Based on reports, law enforcement officers conducted a thorough inspection of a supermarket located at the entrance of a certain middle school, reviewed video footage, and seized six "milk tea cup" e-cigarettes on site. The supermarket is suspected of selling e-cigarettes to minors, and the case is currently under further investigation.
The seized "milk tea cup" e-cigarettes have unclear origins, unknown additives, substandard quality, and the safety of the e-liquid is not guaranteed. Their appearance is both concealed and enticing, violating national regulations and classified as "three no" products explicitly prohibited from sale under the "E-cigarette Management Measures".
Next, the three departments in the city will continue to take strong measures to carry out special rectifications of e-cigarettes, increase inspection efforts around school markets, and strictly investigate illegal activities such as selling e-cigarettes without a license, selling to minors, and selling non-standard e-cigarettes, actively creating a good market environment to fully ensure the healthy growth of young people.
