Booker Recalls Elux, SKE Crystal and IVG Disposable Vapes Over Quality Issues

Key point: According to foreign media BR, UK food wholesaler Booker has issued a recall for Elux, SKE Crystal and IVG disposable vaping products due to manufacturing quality issues.

According to reports from BR today, due to quality issues in the manufacturing of electronic cigarettes, the UK food wholesaler Booker has issued a recall notice for the Elux, SKE Crystal, and IVG disposable vape product lines.

In a message sent to retailers on April 12, BR saw that the wholesaler confirmed six affected flavors of Elux, including Mr Blaze, Tiger Blood, Sweet Blueberry Ice, Pink Lemonade, Blueberry Raspberry, and Watermelon Ice, all at 20 mg.

The affected batch codes are listed as KB151208, KB151104, KB150831, and KB151229.

Following this, a message confirmed the complete list of ten affected flavors of SKE Crystal, such as Kiwi Passionfruit Guava, Watermelon Ice, Cow Ice, Berry Ice, Cherry Ice, Lemon and Lime, Vimbull Ice, Fresh Mint Mojito, Sour Apple, and Rainbow, all at 20 mg.

The affected IVG chocolate bars include four flavors: Blue Raspberry Ice, Classic Menthol, Pink Lemonade, and Strawberry / Watermelon.

Booker apologized for any inconvenience caused to retailers and stated: If you purchased any affected products from Booker Retail Partners, please stop selling them and submit a claim through the portal to collect the products and process refunds.

However, industry insiders revealed that SKE Crystal is expected to resume soon, and Elfbar and Lost Mary will be back in full force in the coming weeks.

This is the latest development in the Elfbar scandal, following a report by the Daily Mail that several Elfbar 600 e-liquids contained nicotine levels at least 50% higher than the UK’s legal limit of 2 ml.

Major supermarkets, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Morrisons, issued a nationwide ban on Elfbar products before Elfbar fully apologized for the so-called manufacturing errors.

BAT commissioned leaked test data that later claimed that almost all major disposable e-cigarette brands produced by non-major tobacco manufacturers contained illegal levels of e-liquid.

Recently, due to manufacturing quality issues, Booker and One Stop have continued to halt sales of their Lost Mary BM600 disposable pods series.
