KAX Smart vs. RELX Pro
Recently, I got my hands on the KAX Smart and after trying it out, I found its overall usability to be comparable to the RELX Pro. The power levels of both devices are quite similar, with three adjustable settings, and the KAX Smart operates at a power range of 5.5-8.
However, the KAX has some noticeable drawbacks:
1. The device is extremely lightweight but also very smooth, making it feel unstable and easy to drop. In contrast, the RELX Pro has a more appropriate resistance that provides a better grip;
2. The gravity-sensing tapping mechanism adds a level of playfulness (similar products have existed before), but it can be difficult to trigger if the tapping force isn't precise. On the other hand, the mechanical button on the RELX Pro is easier to control and offers higher stability;
On the other hand, the KAX has some clear advantages:
1. It features a display screen that shows the pod status, battery level, and e-liquid remaining, making it very clear. It has a chip embedded in the pod to enable this function, but third-party pods won't work with it, which the manufacturer doesn't seem to consider;
2. The pod capacity is slightly larger, and it produces a significant amount of vapor even at the lowest setting, sometimes even denser than the Zeus at its highest setting. The draw resistance is very low, allowing for easy deep inhalation, which is a matter of personal preference since the Pro cannot adjust draw resistance like the Zeus;
This is just my personal experience, and I hope RELX can release a device with a display screen. Comparing the Zeus's fully mechanical design to this is like comparing two extremes; I personally like both, as the large mechanical knob on the Zeus feels great. Compared to the KAX and Zeus, the Pro has fewer distinctive features.
