More Than 70,000 Illegal Vaping Products Worth Over RMB 6 Million Publicly Destroyed
To further create a good consumption environment and deter illegal activities, the Longgang District Tobacco Monopoly Bureau in Shenzhen recently collaborated with public security and market regulation departments to publicly destroy illegal e-cigarettes for the first time.
The Longgang District Bureau strictly followed relevant destruction regulations and procedures, developing a detailed work plan in advance.
On the day of destruction, under the full escort of staff, the transport vehicle loaded with the illegal items safely arrived at the designated destruction site on time for disposal.
This operation adhered to the principles of "green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly," and due to the special nature of e-cigarette products, each item was disassembled and separated using specialized equipment, followed by categorizing the disassembled components such as tubes, plastic mouthpieces, and batteries for crushing and recycling.
The entire destruction process was supervised by public security and internal management personnel, and recorded using law enforcement cameras.
A total of over 70,000 illegal e-cigarettes were destroyed, with a value exceeding 6 million RMB; additionally, 30,000 counterfeit and inferior cigarettes and one laser coding machine were disposed of.
