Singapore’s Largest Bust Yet: E-Cigarette Supply Chain Worth Over SGD 2.2 Million Dismantled, 11 Arr
Singapore police have cracked
the largest-ever batch of e-cigarettes and related components
with a black-market value exceeding SGD 2.2 million
The supply chain has been dismantled
and 11 men were arrested

According to news reports,
on the night of March 28,
police raided a multi-storey car park at Block 592 Montreal Link
in the Sembawang area
and arrested six men suspected of illegally trading e-cigarettes,
aged between 22 and 27

They also raided a warehouse in Mandai
and seized more than 85,000 e-cigarettes and related components,
successfully dismantling the largest illegal e-cigarette supply chain to date

Under Singapore law, the illegal import, distribution, and sale of tobacco products, including shisha, smokeless tobacco, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, and their accessories, may result in a fine of up to SGD 10,000, imprisonment for up to 6 months, or both. Repeat offenders may face fines of up to SGD 20,000, imprisonment for up to 12 months, or both. Anyone who illegally purchases, possesses, or uses e-cigarettes may be fined up to SGD 2,000.
Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority also emphasized that the purchase, use, and possession of e-cigarettes are all prohibited.
