Our country is the world's largest manufacturer and exporter of e-cigarettes, and Shenzhen has become a major global e-cigarette production and export center. According to customs statistics, in 2022, Shenzhen exported 46.09 billion yuan of e-cigarettes, accounting for 68.3% of the country's total export value. In the first two months of this year, Shenzhen exported 7.1 billion yuan of e-cigarettes, a year-on-year increase of 38.9%, accounting for 66.9% of the country's total e-cigarette export value, and continued to maintain its status as the country's largest e-cigarette exporting city. The main features are:

First, the vast majority of private enterprises export through general trade methods. In the first two months, Shenzhen's private enterprises exported 6.09 billion yuan, an increase of 42%, accounting for 85.8% of Shenzhen's total e-cigarette exports during the same period (the same below). In the same period, exports through general trade were 6.53 billion yuan, an increase of 40.5%, accounting for 92.1%.

Second, it is mainly sold to mainstream consumer markets such as Europe and the United States, and the proportion of exports to the United States has declined. In the first two months, Shenzhen's exports to the United States were 2.29 billion yuan, down 20.1%, accounting for 32.3% of Shenzhen's total e-cigarette exports during the same period (the same below). It is still Shenzhen's largest e-cigarette export market, but it accounted for a decrease of 5.8 percentage points compared with 2022. During the same period, exports to the EU, the UK and Russia increased by 1.9 times, 90% and 2.7 times respectively, accounting for 40.9% in total. In addition, exports to ASEAN were 420 million yuan, an increase of 1.3 times, accounting for 6%.
