UK May Introduce Measures to Crack Down on Flavoured Disposable Vaping Devices
Today, March 30, news from The Sun reports that the UK may introduce measures to crack down on the use of flavored disposable vapes popular among teenagers, in an effort to combat the rising trend of vaping among children in the UK.
According to today's news, Public Health Minister Neil O'Brien is planning to gather evidence to justify a ban on vapes like Elf Bars, which come in candy and fruit flavors.
While health officials still support the use of vapes to help adult smokers quit, there are concerns that fruit-flavored vapes target children, as these vapes are associated with soft drinks.
The government will examine the appearance and characteristics of vaping products, including marketing and branding, as well as available flavors. The review will also consider how products are promoted on social media.
