Zepu County, Xinjiang Launches Inspection and Rectification Campaign in the Vaping Industry
To further enhance drug prevention education, strictly investigate the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors, and prevent the market entry of electronic cigarettes containing synthetic cannabinoid-type new drugs, the Xinjiang Zepu County Narcotics Control Office, in conjunction with the Unity Road Police Station, recently conducted special inspections of shops selling electronic cigarettes in the area.

In physical stores selling electronic cigarettes, police checked the manufacturers' certificates for electronic cigarettes, understood the sources of supply and sales conditions, reviewed the component testing reports for electronic cigarette pods and e-liquids, and verified the ingredients and sales invoices of electronic cigarettes to prevent merchants from selling electronic cigarettes containing prohibited or addictive components.
At the same time, police conducted drug prevention education for industry personnel on how to standardize business practices, how to identify "new synthetic cannabinoid electronic cigarettes," and enhance their ability to distinguish new drugs. Additionally, police informed industry personnel that selling electronic cigarettes to minors and selling cannabis electronic cigarettes are criminal offenses, hoping merchants can strictly control the sales of electronic cigarette products and operate legally.
