Innokin SCEPTRE TUBE Review

INNOKIN, as one of the oldest e-cigarette brands in China, has brought several new products at the beginning of 2022. The first one I want to share with you is the refillable sub-ohm device, SCEPTRE TUBE.

The packaging of INNOKIN SCEPTRE TUBE is a simple foldable paper box, with no flashy designs, very straightforward and intuitive.

Inside, it comes with a manual, a TYPE-C charging cable, and a spare pre-made atomizer, among other standard configurations.

The appearance of the INNOKIN SCEPTRE TUBE is designed in a classic cylindrical shape, measuring 118.2*20mm, with a built-in 1300mAh battery. The gradient paint finish on the body uses rubber paint, giving it a very nice texture.

The front of the body features a standalone fire button (which does not have a draw-activated mode), with an LED light surrounding the button to indicate the power on/off status, as well as a double-click function to switch between 18W (blue) and 20W (purple) power settings, along with a battery level indicator.

The other side of the body has a TYPE-C charging port and the top air intake port.

The oil tank is fixed to the body using multiple magnets, ensuring a very secure fit.

The tank has a capacity of 2ml, featuring a removable 510 drip tip and a replaceable coil structure. Additionally, at the bottom of the tank, there are two air intake holes that correspond to the openings on the body, allowing for airflow adjustment. Based on its airflow smoothness, this is undoubtedly a pure lung inhale sub-ohm device.

The SCEPTRE TUBE features a top-side push-to-fill oil hole, making filling and closing very convenient and quick.

The factory provides two 0.5Ω coils, and there is also a 0.25Ω model available for selection. Both require the separate electrode connector shown on the right in the image above for use.

Both pre-made atomizers are low resistance; the 0.5Ω coil does not alter the sweetness of the e-liquid, allowing the flavor to be fully expressed, providing a clear taste. Therefore, it performs well when dealing with single-flavor e-liquids.

The recommended power for the 0.25Ω coil is stated as 25-35W. Will this be insufficient when paired with the maximum power of only 20W? In practice, it turns out that there is not much of an issue; the flavor performance and vapor production are not significantly different from the 0.5Ω coil, the only difference being that the 0.25Ω coil requires a slightly longer draw time of half a second to a second.

Additionally, as a product for large vapor production, it excels in condensation control, showing no signs of inhalation issues even after several days of use.

The first new product brought by INNOKIN after the start of the year, the SCEPTRE TUBE, can be considered a balanced performer in terms of craftsmanship, aesthetics, performance, and battery life. Friends who like this product may consider adding it to their collection.
