The United States Postal Service (USPS) has granted Bantam Vape an exemption from the shipping ban on vapor products. Bantam e-cigarettes will be allowed to ship their e-liquid products to selected vape retailers and distributors across the United States.
The decision by the postal service responds to Bantam's application for a commercial exemption under the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking (PACT) Act, which was amended by Congress on December 27, 2020, prohibiting shipping via the USPS.
“Bantam is able to re-establish USPS as our carrier for our high-quality, flavorful e-liquids, allowing us to serve our trusted retail and distribution partners more effectively,” said Bantam spokesperson Anthony Dillon. “Utilizing USPS as an alternative shipping channel provides our B2B customers with greater flexibility in purchasing orders and reduces shipping times and costs.”
Bantam provided USPS with the necessary documentation to obtain the exemption from the PACT Act's prohibition on shipping vapor products via USPS. This included submitting applicable state and federal licenses and permits for Bantam and its designated customers in the application.
“We appreciate USPS for promptly processing our application and helping us provide alternatives to combustible cigarettes to customers across the country,” Dillon said. “As we continue to expand our brand's customer base, Bantam is committed to adding retailers and distributors to the list of those we can ship via USPS.”
