Reimagining the Manta
The recent surge in flavor-focused devices is actually a nostalgic return to a type of atomizer. It turns out that while the original Manta was very popular, not everyone is interested in "big clouds." Nevertheless, its high-powered dual-coil version performed exceptionally well. The Manta flavor version retains the same signature design and ULTEM drip tip, but this time they have used a 510 flavor drip tip.
This atomizer has a diameter of 24mm and maintains a similar appearance to its predecessor. It features a top-fill system with two large fill ports. The bottom airflow system remains the same as before, but with increased resistance, making it suitable for flavor vaping and mouth-to-lung use.
The maximum capacity of the Manta flavor version's glass tank is 3ml, which is 1.5ml less than the original. The European version only includes a TPD-compliant 2ml glass tank. Considering it is a single-coil atomizer, 3ml is acceptable, but it is slightly below the average capacity for flavor-focused atomizers.
The Manta flavor version features a gold-plated base and side airflow system.
Advken has not released any detailed images of the base, likely due to concerns about leaks before the launch. The only confirmed information is that the airflow holes will be designed on the electrode posts, utilizing side airflow to enhance flavor.
The Manta flavor version uses an improved quick-wick platform. It is similar to the platform of the Merlin flavor atomizer, which is also a single-coil flavor atomizer that employs side airflow. Advken claims the base will be made using a vacuum gold-plating process.
Given the previous pricing of the Manta, the Manta flavor version is likely to become a favorite among flavor enthusiasts. It looks good, has decent capacity, is easy to fill, and is configured for single coil use. If it delivers the same flavor as the original, it could very well become another star product for Advken.
