Hcigar WILDWOLF 235W Dual-Battery Mod Review

Weight is an important factor affecting the experience of dual-battery devices. High-power devices often exceed weight limits due to the number of batteries, making them inconvenient to carry. However, more portable single-battery devices also have their own limitations in practical use with low resistance and high output. Therefore, from a usage perspective, a high-quality lightweight dual-battery mod is the first choice for cloud chasers.
Hcigar recently launched a lightweight dual-battery mod, the WILDWOLF 235W, designed by the TOWIS team and utilizing the latest XT235 chip.
Mod dimensions: 45X85X30MM
Output power: 5-235W
Resistance range: 0.05-1.0 ohms (temperature control) / 0.1-3.0 ohms (power)
Mod modes: power / temperature control / voltage / custom curve
The package includes the mod, USB cable, atomizer decorative ring, and a simple manual. As seen in the image, the mod's screen is located on the front, with three buttons below the screen for [Increase], [Decrease], and the middle [Confirm] function selection key. The bare mod weighs only 100g, which is actually lighter than many single-battery devices, and the rounded edges provide an excellent grip.
The WILDWOLF 235W comes in four official color options, and the sample for this review features a metallic black matte finish with an outstanding touch feel. The mod's design has been popular since 2018, featuring a centered appearance. The decorative ring provided with the mod is suitable for atomizers with a diameter of less than 24MM, ensuring that smaller diameter atomizers do not look out of place when installed on the mod.
The bottom battery cover is clearly marked with the 18650 battery model and positive and negative symbols, along with A and B markings, allowing for the most intuitive view of the actual condition of batteries A and B. For example, if battery A has an issue and shows abnormal power, opening the battery cover will clearly distinguish the problem.
The addition of a function confirmation key simplifies the chip's operation by eliminating many complex combination key commands, making actual control more intuitive and quick. The square TFT color screen displays finely, combined with the detailed UI design of the TOWIS XT235 chip and the symmetrical button design on the front of the mod, making it a high-power mod that absolutely satisfies demanding users.
In addition to the "I have what you have" temperature control and custom curve functions, the voltage display in VOLT mode represents a minimalist concept. We know that regardless of the power output value, the chip matches the output voltage after pairing with the resistance, and the voltage generally stays within a certain range under normal conditions. This is also a true reflection of the saying, "No matter the resistance, it always handles 3.9V," and VOLT is one way to use it without the annoying power value.
Stable and accurate output, along with rapid firing speed, is a hallmark of a good chip. In using the WILDWOLF 235W, one can truly feel the high-quality tuning of the TOWIS XT235 chip, which is a chip without issues. Relying on the mod's ultra-lightweight and compact size, it perfectly pairs with dripping and low-resistance tanks for outdoor use.
While pod systems have become mainstream, this does not mean that followers of cloud chasing have decreased. Similarly, high-wattage devices continue to optimize the experience in design. As shared in this article, the WILDWOLF 235W fully meets the practical needs of use, with its lightweight, good feel, and reliable output making it one of the outstanding choices for high-wattage mods currently available.
