Petri Dot TANK 24MM Atomizer Review

Despite the growing variety of cigarette-alternative products, prebuilt tank atomizers remain popular among many beginners, even if experienced users may be less interested. Among the many manufacturers developing this category, Petri holds an important p
In the face of the increasing variety of smoking alternatives, finished atomizers are still favored by many new players (although veteran players may express indifference). Among the many manufacturers developing finished atomizers, Petri occupies an important position. Recently, they launched the Dot TANK 24mm finished atomizer, which, compared to previous products, not only maintains its consistent high aesthetic appeal but also incorporates many ingenious designs.

Petri Dot TANK 24MM Atomizer Review At first glance, the Dot TANK does not seem to differ much from mainstream finished atomizers, but upon closer inspection, there are significant differences. Just in terms of aesthetics, it is outstanding. As seen in the picture, the Dot TANK has a more proportionate body, a more elegant shape, and a simpler appearance, complemented by a 24K mirror-polished gold coating that makes it shine brightly, making it one of the rare minimalist, high-aesthetic finished atomizers available today.

The seemingly simple structure actually features a cleverly designed separated airflow channel with top and bottom openings, which is one of its ingenious designs. This design is very beneficial for cleaning the airflow channel and can also intercept condensation away from the mouthpiece, significantly reducing the likelihood of condensation at the inlet. Although this design is slightly more complicated than fixed airflow channels in terms of assembly, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
Petri Dot TANK 24MM Atomizer Review By the way, regarding the installation of the airflow channel, there are no strict requirements for the top and bottom interfaces, but from the perspective of ease of refilling, it is recommended to connect the atomizer core to the end with the longer threaded opening, and to apply appropriate force to ensure that the connection with the atomizer core is tighter than that with the top cap (of course, care should be taken to avoid excessive force that could cause jamming), otherwise, when screwing on the top cap, it is easy to cause the airflow channel to separate from the atomizer core due to linkage issues, affecting the refilling amount.

Since we are talking about refilling, I feel the need to remind you that when assembling the atomizer, the atomizer core should be installed first and tightened slightly, as during refilling, linkage issues may cause the atomizer core to separate from the base, affecting the refilling. Personally, I suggest making the lower end of the atomizer core's threads reverse, which I feel would better avoid this issue.

In fact, the designer has already provided a good solution to the issue of linkage affecting refilling. They specifically designed the threaded interface at the bottom of the top cap that connects to the airflow channel to be made of Peek plastic, which facilitates rotation and disconnection. It seems that my previous concerns may have been unnecessary, but it's still better to follow the advice. The use of Peek plastic also has the added benefit of effectively blocking heat transfer from the atomizer core to the mouthpiece, preventing the mouthpiece from becoming hot, achieving a twofold benefit.

If the aforementioned separated airflow channel is a clever design of the Dot TANK, then the design of its base is quite ingenious. As seen in the picture, the Dot TANK adopts a hidden airflow design (the gap around the top of the base serves as the airflow inlet), which can easily lead one to mistakenly believe that the Dot TANK is an atomizer without airflow holes. The advantage of hidden airflow is that it maximizes the aesthetic and simplicity of the Dot TANK.

As for the adjustment method, similar to traditional base airflow atomizers, it is adjusted by rotating the airflow adjustment ring with a concave arc surface to change the size of the airflow holes. Turning left reduces airflow, while turning right increases airflow. However, since the airflow holes are not directly visible, the required airflow resistance must be adjusted based on feel.

In fact, the hidden airflow design also has another advantage: it effectively prevents oil leakage. As seen in the picture, the position of the airflow holes is significantly higher than the bottom, naturally blocking any potential condensation from accumulating at the base, while the airflow adjustment ring effectively seals the dual airflow holes, providing a final line of defense against oil leakage (in fact, the tightness of the connection between the atomizer core and the base has already addressed the oil leakage issue).
Petri Dot TANK 24MM Atomizer Review In terms of enhancing flavor, Petri has also made considerations by specifically pairing the Dot TANK with mesh atomizer cores. From my previous experiences with several finished atomizers from SMOK, I have been left with a good impression of mesh atomizer cores. Compared to traditional finished cores, these cores provide a more even heating area for the e-liquid, higher power capacity, and greater vapor production capability. Of course, due to their broader and tighter contact with cotton, they also have a stronger ability to decompose e-liquid. It can be said that this Dot TANK is a win-win atomizer that offers both vapor production and flavor retention. #p#分页标题#e#

In addition to the above highlighted designs, the Dot TANK also incorporates many thoughtful and convenient operational designs, such as the anti-slip texture on the top cap and base, which features a concave arc surface texture that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the Dot TANK but also facilitates the disassembly and assembly of the atomizer.

At the same time, the airflow channel and atomizer core also feature dense striped textures, which also aid players in separating and connecting the two.

Moreover, in terms of material selection, the Dot TANK is made of pure brass, which has lower internal resistance and better conductivity. Under the same conditions, it generates vapor more quickly compared to stainless steel. As for the potential issue of brass oxidation, the official introduction states that the Dot TANK uses a special brass that is highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, so you can use it with confidence. Additionally, it has undergone a 24K gold plating treatment for oxidation resistance. Its substantial 3.5ML e-liquid capacity is also quite impressive.
Petri Dot TANK 24MM Atomizer Review Initially, I was puzzled by the threaded mouthpiece used in the Dot TANK, feeling that it was less convenient than a push-fit mouthpiece and could not support replacement (other than the official mouthpiece provided). However, upon separating the mouthpiece, I found that the part of the top cap connecting to the mouthpiece is indeed too small. If it were changed to a push-fit mouthpiece, it would undoubtedly affect the tightness of the mouthpiece, so this method seems more appropriate. This also indicates that the design of the Dot TANK is quite perfect, with careful consideration in every aspect.

In summary, the Dot TANK has innovated many design forms, all aimed at solving common issues that may arise during daily use, such as oil leakage and mouthpiece heating. The upgrade of the atomizer core has also improved the flavor performance of the Dot TANK. It can be said that the seemingly simple structure of the Dot TANK actually incorporates a lot of the designer's wisdom, and I believe it has already won the hearts of many Petri fans. Given the trust and affection for Petri, I look forward to the company also launching mouth-to-lung atomizers to meet the growing popularity of nicotine salts and players' demand for high resistance, as the Dot TANK remains a sub-ohm atomizer.
