SMOK I-PRIV Voice-Controlled Vaping Device Review

I never imagined that one day I would be talking to a vape for an entire morning. All my colleagues looked at me like I was crazy! But when the vape responded to me, they were all shocked! Today, I bring you the review of the SMOK I-PRIVKIT, a voice-controlled dual-battery device. Without further ado, let’s dive into the details of how this mysterious voice box works and what high-tech features it has!

First, the packaging is a tech-savvy prism blue box, and even the atomizer is in prism blue. It’s truly a youthful and technologically advanced kit. The outer packaging indicates that this is a voice-controlled device, and I’m so eager to find out how it works— is it similar to the voice-activated "Xiao Ai"? I can’t wait!

The main device is a powerful 230W unit, featuring a round embedded TFT screen on the front, displaying a dynamic UI through settings. The left side retains SMOK's classic "large" fire button, and the overall ergonomics of the device feel great in hand, with excellent button feedback and ease of use. The bottom of the device has an LED optical bulb similar to a phone flashlight, which can be adjusted to different lighting modes. After testing, I found that the light can change to:

1. SOS light mode
2. Strobe light mode (nightclub exclusive)
3. Light can change to 9 colors: red, green, dark blue, yellow, purple, light blue, gray, and two mixed color variations.

Additionally, this I-Priv device can be paired with 20700, 21700, and 18650 batteries, providing more options for users.

The I-Priv device is made of zinc alloy, giving it a muscular and powerful feel, reminiscent of a "robotic" design but with a strong technological vibe.

The I-Priv device has three modes: Power Mode (W), Temperature Control Mode (TI, NI, SS), and Memory Mode (M). It also offers multiple protection features. To turn on the device, press the fire button five times, and the screen will display a tech-savvy interface showing the current battery level, wattage, atomizer resistance, voltage, and puff duration. Pressing the fire button three times will enter the settings menu, which includes:

1. Shutdown settings
2. LED light settings
3. Voice mode settings
4. Mode switching settings
5. Pipe mode settings
6. Personal usage habits settings
7. Screen settings

Voice mode introduction for the I-Priv device:

After pressing the fire button three times to enter the menu mode, select the microphone icon to access the voice mode settings. The voice prompts can be set to three types: 1. Male voice 2. Female voice 3. Robot voice. If you prefer not to use voice control, you can disable voice prompts in the settings.

This is the official voice command list provided, but it differs from the voice commands included in the packaging! Please refer to the voice commands on the packaging for accuracy! Some commands like "optimal wattage" and "SOS mode" are currently not available on the device! However, don’t lose faith in the I-PRIV! It can be connected to a computer for upgrades! I wonder if future updates will complete these features!

As for the atomizer paired with the I-Priv, seasoned users should be familiar with the TFV12 Prince atomizer. It’s bold, has a large capacity, offers great flavor, and produces massive clouds. Its patented locking system is a safety feature, and it’s worth noting that it supports both pre-made atomizer cores and RBA components, which is important for DIY enthusiasts. This time, the Prince atomizer comes with two newly developed cores: the V12 mesh and the V1 steel sheet core, both designed for even heating and excellent vaporization, allowing for high wattage use.

Summary

1. The SMOK I-Priv kit is refreshing and features voice control, which is impressive.
2. The device feels comfortable in hand, with an ergonomic design and responsive buttons.
3. The small horizontal hole in the middle of the device helps with heat dissipation during use.
4. The TFV12 "Prince" atomizer has an 8ml capacity and an 810 snake skin drip tip.
5. It’s also my favorite dual-battery device with a large capacity and replaceable batteries. The 230W power is perfect for both mouth-to-lung and direct lung vaping.
6. The design is thoughtful, feels great, operates smoothly, and has a unique appearance.

Cons:

1. The I-Priv device has too few heat dissipation holes, and in power mode, it may overheat during prolonged lung inhales.
2. It’s best to have a protective case, as the prism blue finish can easily scratch, making the device look worn over time.
3. The voice control mode does not have a Chinese option, which may be challenging for those with limited English proficiency.
4. The settings menu does not switch between Chinese and English, but thankfully, there are clear icons to guide users. However, detailed settings will require a translation dictionary.

In conclusion, this device may have redefined our concept of vapes and the idea of showing off! Carrying the SMOK I-PRIV out is sure to turn heads!
