Zeus Mini RTA Atomizer Review

 　　Following the launch of the creative ZEUS RTA atomizer, Xihu has recently released the MINI version of this atomizer, which is the subject of our review today, the ZEUS MINI RTA.

  　　The ZEUS MINI RTA measures 41mm in height, 24mm in diameter, weighs 51g, and has a capacity of 2ml. The drip tip has an inner diameter of 10mm, and the entire device is made of stainless steel, with the drip tip made of PEI and POM, and the tank made of glass. The positive post at the bottom of the atomizer is made of red copper and protrudes, allowing it to be installed on mechanical devices.   　　In addition to the atomizer, the ZEUS MINI RTA package includes a single coil build deck, a replacement drip tip, a spare glass tank, an Allen wrench, two heating wires, and several spare O-rings.   　　The ZEUS MINI RTA can be disassembled into seven parts: the drip tip, top cap, atomization chamber, tank, build deck, bottom cap, and airflow adjustment ring.   　　The drip tip and top cap of the ZEUS MINI RTA use a nested connection. The drip tip is non-standard, available in PEI and POM materials, both of which have good heat insulation properties; the top cap features a patterned edge that enhances aesthetics while facilitating screwing on and off. The top cap does not have a large area of sealing gasket, which helps the atomizer seal and prevents leaking oil.   　　The atomization chamber of the ZEUS MINI RTA is designed as an integrated unit, with the top serving as both the filling hole and pressure relief hole. The inner diameter of the atomization chamber is 17mm, and the top has a dome structure. The connection between the smoke channel and the top of the atomization chamber has a chamfered cut, which greatly aids in the concentration and smooth flow of smoke.   　　The distance between the tank and the atomization chamber of the ZEUS MINI RTA is 1mm, providing ample flow space for e-liquid, preventing issues with e-liquid getting stuck or poor flow.   　　The build deck of the ZEUS MINI RTA is designed for easy replacement and is available in both single and dual coil configurations. The structure of both build decks is similar to that of the GTA and CP atomizers, featuring a semi-suspended build deck design.   　　The single coil build deck adopts a U-shaped dual post dual hole design, with the wire holes sized to accommodate dual-core Clapton wires, and the locking screws are Allen screws. The airflow hole is located in the center of the build deck and is fitted with an airflow screw to adjust the size of the airflow hole. The height of the airflow hole is relatively high, even with the airflow screw removed, there is still about 3mm of height, which can complicate the installation of the heating wire and the distance control between the heating wire and the airflow hole, indicating that the maturity of this base is not very high.   　　The dual coil build deck adopts a U-shaped dual post four-hole design, with wire holes sized to accommodate 0.4mm triple-core Clapton wires, and the locking screws are Allen screws. For such a mature base, there is not much more to say.

　　The bottom cap of the ZEUS MINI RTA connects to the build deck via a threaded connection, requiring tools for disassembly and assembly.   　　The bottom cap of the ZEUS MINI RTA connects to the airflow adjustment ring using a nested connection, allowing for easy disassembly and assembly by hand. The airflow adjustment ring features a stepless adjustment design with limited stops, allowing for precise control of airflow size, which undoubtedly appeals to those with obsessive-compulsive tendencies.   　　Given that the maturity of the single coil build deck of the ZEUS MINI RTA is not very high, I opted to use the more mature dual coil build deck for the usage test.   　　I used NI80 wire with a diameter of 0.5mm, 3.0mm diameter, and 6 wraps to conduct the usage test on the ZEUS MINI RTA, with the testing device being the DX200 mod.   　　Due to the volcano-shaped design of the ZEUS MINI RTA drip tip and its sufficient height, the fit and wrap feel between the atomizer drip tip and lips during use are quite good; the thickness of the atomizer top cap is sufficient, and the patterned design provides ample grip and friction for easy screwing on and off. The glass tank of the atomizer connects to the top cap and bottom base using a right-angle sealing O-ring, with a large contact area between the O-ring and the tank, ensuring that even when the base is removed, the tank maintains a good sealed connection with the top cap, allowing for maintenance and replacement of the atomizer core while e-liquid is present. The airflow ring of the atomizer adopts a stepless adjustment design with limited stops, facilitating precise control of airflow size while also providing convenience for disassembling the build deck.

  　　During use, the ZEUS MINI RTA delivers smooth and effortless vapor. With the airflow opened halfway, the draw resistance is just right. The flavor of the vapor is accurately reproduced, and the concentration of the vapor is satisfactory. After continuous draws at 65W for 5-10 puffs, the maximum temperature at the top of the atomizer reached 43°C, which is within an acceptable range. As long as the cotton is not particularly poorly installed, the atomizer supplies e-liquid quite smoothly, and there are no issues with dry hits during continuous draws. The atomizer performs reasonably well in terms of condensation control; after frequent use, some condensation may remain inside the drip tip, which should be cleaned promptly by those with obsessive-compulsive tendencies.

  　　Although this RTA product released by Xihu is named ZEUS MINI, it does not have any significant connection to the ZEUS RTA. While both build decks borrow from the structural design of the CP and GTA atomizers, the single coil build deck has some design flaws that need improvement. The dual coil build deck is highly mature and provides a good user experience, making it a great choice for this product at present.
