Hello everyone, this is Lao Liu. It’s been a while since I last saw you all! I’m finally on holiday, and I wish everyone a healthy and peaceful Dragon Boat Festival! Vapjoy HITMAN RDA Review Today I’m bringing you a review of an atomizer, the HITMAN RDA from Vapjoy.
1. Packaging

The packaging is a black PU pouch. Although it looks somewhat simple, it still feels fairly premium. The product name is printed on the front, and the brand name is printed on the back.

Inside the package, in addition to the atomizer itself, there is also a screwdriver and an accessory bag. The screwdriver is very well made, and the accessory bag includes spare O-rings and two spare hex screws.
2. Appearance and Build Quality

The atomizer comes in two colors: silver and black. From what I observed, the black version uses a painted finish, while the silver version uses polished stainless steel.
I like both finishes very much, especially the silver one. The bright silver from high-polish stainless steel looks more natural and softer than plated silver.
The atomizer has a diameter of 22mm. Although the size is a bit small, the chamber is slightly taller, so visually it doesn’t really look like a 22mm atomizer. In fact, it looks quite close to a 24mm one.
It comes standard with a black 810 Teflon drip tip with a slightly wide bore. After removing the drip tip, you can directly see the internal structure, which suggests that this atomizer is more focused on vapor production.
There are two symmetrical long airflow slots on the side of the outer sleeve. The side-airflow design helps ensure good flavor, so it seems this one aims to deliver both flavor and vapor. As for whether that’s really the case, we’ll get to that in a moment.
The bottom of the atomizer is engraved with information such as the model name, size, brand name, and serial number. There are two screws on the bottom, securing the positive and negative posts respectively.
3. Structure

The outer sleeve fits very tightly and is fairly difficult to remove, which suggests that the O-rings are probably made of rubber. After removing the sleeve, you can see that the airflow holes are built into the posts. The posts are wide, and the juice well is deep. Structurally, this is a single-coil atomizer with plenty of building space. At a glance, it seems made for fancy coils, although when building you do need to trim and bend the leads, which may be a little challenging for beginners. The internal machining is neat, with no rough burrs, so the build quality is quite good.
The outer sleeve uses a straight-through design, with a tapered section at the top. The embedded PEI is a major highlight, mainly serving as heat insulation. This is a very nice touch and further confirms its big-vapor-oriented design.
4. Actual Experience

Once the coil is installed and the cotton is saturated, it’s ready to use. This time I used a 5-core Clapton coil, 3.0mm inner diameter, 4 wraps, with a resistance of 0.19 ohms.
I used two e-liquids for testing: Black Temptation at 42mg strength (grapefruit + blackcurrant) and Sanbrie’s Devil Grape (grape + cooling effect).
Previously, when vaping Black Temptation, I could barely taste the grapefruit, and the blackcurrant was too dominant, with a slight artificial flavor. But in the HITMAN RDA, the blackcurrant and grapefruit became much more layered. The overall impression was fresh and sweet, and the artificial flavor note disappeared as well.
As for Devil Grape, my previous impression was that the cooling effect was too strong and the grape flavor was overly ripe, lacking freshness. In the HITMAN, some of that overripe grape character was reduced, the cooling was toned down, and the fresh, juicy side of the grape came through. So its flavor performance is definitely worth praising, and I really have been using it for quite a long time.
In terms of vapor production, however, it’s not especially impressive. It falls into the medium-to-low range. After all, it’s a single-coil setup with a small diameter, so it’s best not to expect too much.
5. Device Pairing

It looks quite good on both tube mods and box mods. It doesn’t feel mismatched because of the 22mm size, so overall compatibility is fairly high.
6. Summary and Suggestions
1. Good-looking design (of course, that’s just my personal opinion)
2. Excellent build quality
3. Great flavor
4. I would suggest changing the O-ring material. Even after using it for so long, it’s still very tight, which is not very convenient for users who are used to removing the top cap to refill.
5. I’d also suggest changing the screws to flathead screws, which would make coil leads lock down more securely.

So, do you like this HITMAN RDA?
This is Lao Liu, your laid-back handsome guy. See you next time!
