AQUA REBOOT RTA Review
Back in 2015, the domestic e-cigarette market was dominated by the Nautilus tank, while DIY oil storage products were ruled by the KF series. During this period, both merchants and players focused on “flavor” as the main selling point, rejecting the existence of “big clouds”. As a result, oil-dripping atomizers were largely ignored, and dual-coil storage tanks were considered “oddities”. However, as the market environment changed, the previously dismissed dripping and dual-coil storage tanks became the most popular products. One such atomizer, named AQUA SE, which was once labeled as an “oddity”, became exceptionally popular but was forgotten with the passage of time.<\/p>
This product gained immense popularity in an environment that prioritized “flavor above all”, not only due to its high aesthetic appeal, innovative structure, and excellent usability but also because of the courage it represented in that larger context. Although the AQUA brand later launched several products, their poor craftsmanship or unconventional structures failed to resonate in the market. To break this situation, they have now introduced a brand new product—REBOOT RTA.
The English translation of REBOOT means “to restart”, so we also call it the Restart Atomizer. Returning to the market with such a name may hold deeper significance for the brand.
Upon opening the family signature packaging, the internal accessories are shown in the image above.
The dimensions of the REBOOT atomizer are 51*24mm, which is a mainstream size for current storage products. In terms of appearance, it no longer pursues individuality like previous products, making it look great whether used alone or paired with various mods/box devices.
In addition to the stainless steel color, it is also available in black and blue.
Disassembled, the main components are shown in the image above. Judging by today’s market standards, the craftsmanship of this atomizer shows no flaws, but compared to previous products from the AQUA brand, there is a significant improvement in quality.
At the top, you can see that it is equipped with a PEI drip tip, which, although 810 compatible, is surrounded by a ring that indicates that while it can use other drip tips of the same specification, it does not match the consistency of the original drip tip.
The top-fill feature is naturally included in this atomizer.
In the inner chamber, you can see that the top has a separate cutout, which effectively allows condensation to flow back, and with the drip tip, you will not experience any sourness from condensation during daily use.
Moving to the electrode posts, we can see the familiar AQUA design. From the image above, it is evident that it uses a dual-post, dual-hole configuration with an asymmetrical design of one thick and one thin post. Some may wonder what the significance of this is; in reality, it serves no practical purpose and exists purely to highlight the unique personality of the AQUA brand. However, the airflow design of the REBOOT is quite interesting. At the bottom, there are four elongated slots to provide airflow, with a slightly protruding tab in one of the corresponding airflow slots to adjust the hidden baffle inside.
The dual-post, dual-hole setup is familiar to players, and the asymmetrical electrode posts do not cause any misalignment during coil installation, as the spacing between the two wire holes remains symmetrical, affecting only the visual aspect.
From the previously mentioned aspects, it is clear that this product is designed for use with thicker wires or mesh wires, so do not expect various thin wires and high-resistance mesh wires to perform well on it.
In terms of flavor performance, this atomizer is definitely a mainstream type loved by players. It can provide a very good “flavor” experience, similar to other popular atomizers like the Devilfish and the Top-Fill RTA. However, it is worth mentioning that due to the different airflow design, the vapor produced may feel drier compared to other atomizers. While most players may not notice this difference, it does not affect the overall excellent usability.
This article has repeatedly mentioned the term “mainstream”, and it is precisely because the REBOOT RTA no longer exists solely to showcase structure and individuality. In response to the market, it has not only significantly improved in craftsmanship but also chosen to compromise on usability. Even though it has a little flair in the electrode posts, overall, it remains an excellent product. The question remains whether the emergence of this atomizer can restart the AQUA brand's journey; ultimately, it will be up to the market to decide. #p#Pagination Title#e#
