Football Star Jadeveon Clowney Opens Vape Shop With Former State Lawmaker

Former South Carolina star and first overall draft pick Jadeveon Clowney is taking a risk by entering the business world.
With the help of former South Carolina House member Bakari Sellers, Clowney will open a vape specialty store, KURE Columbia, which is touted as "an innovative high-end retail and leisure experience," comparable to a coffee shop.
Vaping is considered an alternative for smokers. Reports indicate that Clowney's mother is among the 22% of smokers in South Carolina.
The grand opening will take place on July 19 and is invitation-only.
Sellers, who abandoned his bid for the lieutenant governor position in 2014, is one of the investors in KURE Columbia. Other investors include Ken and Cindy Long, who are recipients of the 2015 Garnet Award, "symbolizing the passion and dedication of cockfighting." Clowney is the largest shareholder.
