What should a DIY vaping beginner buy?

As a beginner wanting to try DIY vaping, you might be unsure about what to prepare and what to pay attention to. Here’s a guide for you.

For your first setup, you definitely need a vape device, along with a tank and e-liquid, plus a power battery. You should also have some basic tools! For example, a small screwdriver, heating wire, and cotton. If you're worried about coiling the wire, consider getting a coiling tool.

You can choose any vape device you like, but for beginners, I recommend the Kayfun tank (which was my first tank and has a great reputation) or the Wotofo Profile (which is also well-regarded, though I haven't used it). The reason is that they are simple to DIY, cost-effective, and provide good flavor. For e-liquid, I suggest starting with sample sizes. If you can't decide, go for a mint flavor and a fruit or tobacco flavor you like. If you end up not liking one, you can mix it with mint, which is a good option.DIY vaping beginner tools The coiling tool and heating wire are used to make coils, as DIY mainly involves making coils. Cotton is essential!!

I would like to add that besides the regular DIY tools, you will also need a resistance meter or a coil burning station, or you can use a box to measure resistance for safety, to prevent short circuits during operation. Of course, the chances of a short circuit are low, but using a coil burning station or box is more convenient.

Both the Kayfun and Wotofo Profile are great to use, but they are generally flavor-focused, and the resistance you create may be relatively high, which might not produce the flavor you want with your device.

You might consider direct dripping; eventually, you'll want to try it. Single or dual coils are fine and more suitable for your device.

If you have questions about devices, you might want to ask someone experienced in the community, as they can provide valuable insights.

For your first device, consider getting a reasonably priced domestic model.

For DIY, if you don't have other equipment, I recommend getting a precision-engineered tank like the 1.2 or 1.5.

For making coils, you will need tools like a coil burning station, heating wire, diagonal pliers, coiling tool, coiling rod, cotton, ceramic tweezers, and a screwdriver set. What should a DIY vaping beginner buy? A resistance meter or coil burning station can be a bit costly, so I wouldn't recommend beginners buy one right away to avoid increasing costs. When buying heating wire, ask the seller how many wraps to make, and adjust as needed; it should be safe. Just ensure to disconnect from the battery as soon as the device heats up to avoid danger.

Honestly, I don't recommend new users jump straight into mechanical devices, as they require more knowledge and equipment.

If you genuinely enjoy vaping, consider reading more beginner articles about mechanical devices to be well-prepared.

Generally, the equipment includes a tank, main device or vape, battery, charger, heating wire, tweezers, coiling rod, cotton, wire cutters, and e-liquid. If you can't coil yet, there are pre-made heating wires available, and coiling tools can help you try it out.
