ASVAPE Zeta — a mouth-to-lung tank atomizer focused on flavor

Mouth-to-lung atomizers have always held an irreplaceable position in the vaping industry. Even in today’s cloud-chasing environment, many dedicated MTL users still stick with this style. Compared with traditional MTL devices, atomizers using ceramic tech
Mouth-to-lung atomizers have always held an irreplaceable position in the electronic cigarette industry. Even in today's environment dominated by clouds of vapor, there are still many mouth-to-lung enthusiasts who remain loyal to this style. Compared to traditional mouth-to-lung devices, those equipped with ceramic technology highlight their superior flavor attributes.

First, let's briefly explain the advantages and characteristics of mouth-to-lung atomizers that use ceramic technology. It is well-known that ceramics have a higher density than metals, are heat-resistant, retain heat well, and heat up quickly. During the actual atomization process, they can better preserve and restore the true flavor of the e-liquid, are insulated, and do not leak oil. Their secondary heating effect allows for a more delicate and smooth vapor, simulating the temperature of real smoke to the greatest extent. Compared to common steel inner chambers, ceramic structures perform better in terms of flavor!

Today, I would like to share my experience with a mouth-to-lung ceramic oil storage atomizer from ASVAPE— the Zeta mouth-to-lung ceramic oil storage atomizer.

Every product from ASVAPE is packaged in a uniquely distinctive style, and the Zeta is no exception. It comes in a black plastic box, with a three-dimensional gold-embossed ASVAPE logo and the Zeta product name visible on the front. The back features an embossed official website and a product anti-counterfeiting coating for scanning.

The packaging box uses a unique side-slide and rotate opening method, with the atomizer and accessory pack embedded in soft foam for protection.

The design is inspired by the Baroque style that flourished in Europe during the 17th century, with the main steel chamber intricately engraved with the ASVAPE logo. The top features a standard mouth-to-lung drip tip, and the top cap and base are engraved with "aequitas" and an olive branch, which not only serve decorative purposes but also provide anti-slip friction when unscrewing the top cap for refilling. A transparent PEI chamber allows for easy observation of the e-liquid level, and the bottom features four adjustable airflow options. Overall, the craftsmanship is exquisite, compact, and rounded, giving it a high aesthetic score!

This atomizer supports the disassembly of all components into several parts, including the ceramic inner chamber, drip tip, and positive screw. For clarity, I will only introduce some commonly used components here.
ASVAPE Zeta—Mouth-to-lung Flavor Storage Atomizer Among the main components, two parts particularly caught my attention. On the inside of the top cap, there are openings on both sides of the threading, which, based on practical testing, serve to facilitate airflow. The black rubber pad prevents oil leakage. In addition to the four adjustable airflow options at the bottom, completely closing the airflow allows for smoking operations, especially suitable for high-concentration e-liquids and nicotine salt e-liquids. Completely closing the bottom airflow simulates the draw resistance of real cigarettes, which can be understood as a hidden airflow setting. Under this setting, the draw resistance is quite high, resembling the feel of smoking a small filter cigarette!

Another eye-catching design is the ceramic sleeve inner chamber, which features six oil guide holes and two disassembly slots. Using a coin to secure the slots and turning clockwise allows for the disassembly of the inner chamber, including the PEI part. Since I do not have a coin on hand, I cannot provide further specific disassembly details, but this part's disassembly does not affect the actual user experience. The benefits of using a ceramic sleeve as the atomizer's inner chamber have already been discussed, and the high-quality flavor experience is a characteristic that sets the Zeta apart from other mouth-to-lung products.

The bottom airflow structure allows for efficient utilization and capture of airflow directed straight to the heating wire, making the vapor delivery more concentrated. This is the best airflow method that many classic mouth-to-lung atomizers have consistently used and adhered to.

The pure copper electrode screw maximizes the atomizer's electrical conductivity stability, with the mid-section opening corresponding to the base airflow.

Each side of the base uses a flat screw to secure the heating wire, and the included pure steel anti-slip screwdriver is just right for the job and is very handy to use.

The effect after installing the ceramic gasket shows two heating wire fixing holes and two oil guide cotton slots.

This atomizer is a typical mouth-to-lung oil storage type. Since it is a mouth-to-lung type, the choice of heating wire should naturally prioritize simple wire. It is recommended to use A1 0.32 (28G) and 0.4 (26G) as the first choice, with a resistance limit of no less than 0.7Ω and a power not exceeding 20W. Personally, I recommend the conventional mouth-to-lung data of 28G/2.5mm diameter/6-8 turns/1.5Ω/10-12W, as this data can maximize the best flavor experience of the mouth-to-lung atomizer.

Due to the use of a bottom ceramic gasket to secure the wire, it is necessary to mention the wire winding method. Common winding methods include clockwise and counterclockwise. The clockwise method requires bending the wire, while the locking hole is more suitable for counterclockwise winding. In my opinion, both methods are acceptable. After igniting at low power, use ceramic tweezers to make slight adjustments to ensure that the heating wire passes through the cotton slot corresponding to the oil guide cotton slot. For friends who frequently use DIY atomizers, there are no operational difficulties.

The optimal height for the heating wire is slightly elevated above the airflow hole. The thickness and length of the cotton can be flexibly adjusted according to needs, with a slight resistance when inserting the cotton being ideal. After appropriately thinning the cotton foot, simply insert the cotton without overthinking it. In practical tests, this atomizer's oil guiding performance is good. I intentionally chose to insert cotton without thinning the cotton foot, and there were no issues with oil guiding. Finally, after properly saturating the cotton and burning it in, you can proceed to the refilling stage.

The top refilling hole has a large diameter, allowing for easy refilling with a standard dropper or pen-style bottle. The middle airflow hole and outer edge feature anti-overflow protrusions, making the actual refilling process very convenient.

In terms of flavor, the Zeta performs quite well. At 1.5Ω and 11W power, with the airflow set to the smallest hole, the vapor is delicate and warm, with a slightly light draw resistance, similar to being between KFP 2-3 airflow settings. Personally, I feel that this draw resistance setting could be increased. If it could be similar to the first airflow setting of KFP, it would perform better for mouth-to-lung. I particularly enjoy the draw resistance performance when the Zeta's airflow is completely closed, resembling the draw resistance of a small filter cigarette. Using it with 6mg tobacco, the vapor is smooth, delicate, and has a high degree of restoration. Overall, the performance of the ceramic gasket and ceramic inner chamber in terms of vapor temperature and atomization delicacy is commendable!

The three models are all 22mm in size, with the Zeta compared to the KFP and the compact oil-dripping Hadali.
ASVAPE Zeta—Mouth-to-lung Flavor Storage Atomizer Without comparison, there is no harm. Here is another standing comparison image. The KFP has a 2ml capacity (official data), while the Zeta has a 2.5ml capacity (official data). The Zeta can easily surpass the KFP in terms of aesthetics, size, and storage capacity, while the slightly larger Go board has almost no chance of comparison.

Paired with the ASVAPE Gabriel mini battery, the effect is excellent.

This is my preferred mouth-to-lung portable combination, paired with a mini battery stick.

Review: ASVAPE products are known for their practical high aesthetic value, emphasizing trendy culture. The Zeta, with its compact size, built-in DIY ceramic atomization structure, 2.5ml storage capacity, and exquisite craftsmanship, especially impresses with its draw resistance performance when fully closed and the delicacy of atomization. It stands out as a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing mouth-to-lung atomizer among recent DIY oil storage products!
