Even those labeled as MTL RTAs are not absolute mouth-to-lung loyalists, as they also feature designs that accommodate light lung hits... How does the ASVAPE ZETA RTA perform?

ASVAPE is known in the industry for its unique and avant-garde products, and the retro ZETA RTA launched amid the MTL craze maintains the brand's trendy characteristics. Today, I will share my thoughts starting from the black plastic box of the ZETA RTA shown in the picture...

The manufacturer provides a variety of sealing rings, a delicate flat screwdriver, two ceramic components, two pre-made loose coils, and one replacement air intake electrode screw, among other items. The first impression of the ZETA RTA is retro, with the logo pattern on the atomizer shell and its overall shape reflecting a blend of old and new styles.

The ZETA RTA features a classic 22MM diameter and has a 2.5ML e-liquid capacity. Upon opening the package, there are three notable features: 1. The atomizer's airflow ring provides a tight draw when fully closed, suitable for using high-nicotine salt e-liquids with very small wire gauges; 2. The difference between the two air intake electrode screws is quite obvious; if using mouth-to-lung only, it is recommended to choose the smaller air intake screw; 3. The pre-made coil is loose-wound with unclear material.How does the ASVAPE ZETA RTA perform
Compared to the historical old-school RTAs, top-filling is a hallmark of this era. The ZETA's drip tip has a very small diameter, making it perfect for mouth-to-lung use. If you want to replace it with a larger air intake screw for light lung hits, using a suitable 510 drip tip would be more reasonable.

The tank disassembly requires a tool (like a coin), but in actual use, rinsing with water is sufficient for daily maintenance. Made of PEI and stainless steel, the tank has a retro appearance and is more durable than ordinary glass tanks, making it less likely to experience "tank explosions" from severe drops.

The ceramic chamber is a core highlight of the ZETA, and aside from the physical effects of the ceramic material, if we look at this chamber purely from a spatial perspective, the ceramic atomization chamber provides insulation, and the narrowed atomization space enhances the overall compression feel during use, resulting in a tighter flavor.How does the ASVAPE ZETA RTA perform
Rebuilding the vertical coil is not difficult; just carefully trim the wire legs to an appropriate length. The included coil legs can serve as a direct reference. Before installing the coil, the ceramic gasket from the accessory pack needs to be installed; this component not only forms the bottom of the ceramic atomization chamber but also serves as an insulation component between the coil and the bottom.

The original 3.0mm coil legs need to be thinned out to perfectly fill the e-liquid holes, and this loose-wound coil does not suit the small air intake mode of the electrode screw. The original coil generates more heat than typical mouth-to-lung setups; for example, using 25MG ice tobacco salt e-liquid, the mint flavor overpowers everything, so it is recommended to use the larger air intake screw for light lung hits.

The ceramic gasket only aligns in one direction; if the wire leg holes are misaligned as shown in the picture, the gasket position needs to be adjusted. If you want to use the ZETA RTA purely for mouth-to-lung, some small gauge wires like 28G/30G will fit its small air intake characteristics better, especially in the narrow atomization space of the atomizer, as thicker wire gauges will only lead to excessive heat affecting the e-liquid flavor (in small air intake electrode mode).

The flavor performance of the ZETA RTA is highly recognizable, primarily due to the compression feel of the narrow ceramic chamber, and under the wrap of the ceramic chamber, the temperature inside the atomization chamber retains some warmth, giving the vapor a slight warmth. Its light lung and mouth-to-lung options also directly cater to traditional 6MG e-liquids and the currently popular high-nicotine salt e-liquids, demonstrating excellent compatibility.How does the ASVAPE ZETA RTA perform
During the boom of high-nicotine salt e-liquids, many friends have turned to using KFLP for mouth-to-lung. The economic advantages of rebuilding RTA products compared to disposable pod systems are quite evident. Looking back at the overall performance of the ASVAPE ZETA RTA, it shows strong compatibility with the current market's high-nicotine e-liquids (both traditional and salt e-liquids).
