The HAVA BEETLES KIT we are sharing today is one of them.
A daily-use device should be easy to get started with, moderately sized and portable, and not require overly complicated maintenance or cleaning. The BEETLES uses a built-in battery design with a maximum output of 85W, clearly positioning itself as an entry-level cloud-chasing product.
The factory-installed coil is a 0.5-ohm standard coil head (officially recommended at 30-50W), while the spare is a 0.15-ohm mesh coil head (officially recommended at 40-90W). It comes preinstalled with a 5ml expanded tank and also includes a 3ml standard tank section.

A traditional 0.5-ohm wire coil is standard territory for sub-ohm stock coils. On that basis, users who want denser and more refined vapor can switch the tank over to the mesh coil. With these two coil options, the manufacturer allows first-time BEETLES KIT users to experience both the older and newer styles of cloud-chasing performance.
This tank is well made, and its simple structure makes it very easy to live with. The drip tip uses an 810 connection, with a wide bore and a small internal hook structure to help prevent condensation from entering the mouth. However, beginners using cloud-chasing products for the first time may need some time to get used to the 810 bore designed for direct-lung inhaling.
There is one small issue with the structure where the coil itself also serves as the connection point, and beginners should pay attention to it. If the torque between the coil and base is lower than the torque between the top cap and coil, then when opening the top cap to refill, you may accidentally unscrew the base and coil section together—which can easily leave e-liquid all over your hand. So if you are new to this, remember to tighten the coil firmly onto the base.
This VTANK wicks very quickly, and it performs well in both chain vaping and heat dissipation. When using the wire coil, the bottom airflow needs to be closed down somewhat to achieve a balanced and suitable draw, due to the more limited punch of that coil specification. Once switched to the mesh coil, since mesh heats faster and hits harder than a wire coil, the airflow should be opened up more to help with cooling.
The device body uses a gunmetal-colored plated finish, and its full shape gives it a solid, satisfying feel in the hand. The industrial design of the lines and form also clearly echoes some beetle-like styling elements, making it fashionable rather than dull.
The 510 connection is semi-recessed into the top of the mod. Once the tank is attached, this further improves the integrated look of the device. The raised portion next to the connector still leaves enough space from the tank, so it does not interfere with airflow.
The large firing button positioned on the shoulder of the mod is easy to press whether you hold the device normally or in reverse, and the button response feels appropriately firm. However, this mod uses five clicks to turn on/off and three clicks to switch operating modes, so locking the device (by pressing and holding the fire button and plus button together) is not especially convenient.
The combination of 85W maximum output, a 2000mAh built-in battery, and a minimum resistance of 0.1 ohm does present some limitations when using ultra-low-resistance builds. But thanks to the inclusion of BYPASS mode, it can still handle some common cloud-chasing dripper setups quite well—for example, a 0.2-ohm dual-coil single-wire RDA or a cloud-chasing RTA around 0.3 ohm.
Quite a few manufacturers are still quietly refining their products, making these once-mainstream entry-level cloud-chasing devices more polished than before.
