Shanlan E-Cigarette Review was written long ago but is only being published today. It starts with my youthful belief that smoking was cool, but after starting work, I found quitting smoking to be incredibly difficult, especially since my job involves a lot of socializing and pressure. I would often pick up a cigarette without realizing it, and before I knew it, I was smoking several packs a day. I believe quitting smoking isn't just about willpower; I personally don't like it and know it's bad for my health, but I guess it's more of a psychological addiction. I often feel uncomfortable in my throat when I smoke, and I feel the same discomfort when I don't smoke. Recommended reading: Shanlan E-Cigarette Review

In April 2016, I started trying to quit smoking, initially relying on e-cigarettes and vapor cigarettes. At the beginning, I still craved real cigarettes, and sometimes I couldn't resist and would smoke one, but I managed to quit real cigarettes for nearly three months with willpower, only to start smoking again for various reasons later on.

Here, I would like to introduce the differences between e-cigarettes and regular cigarettes:

The biggest harm of traditional cigarettes is the tar and various harmful carcinogens produced by combustion, which contains a well-known addictive component called nicotine. Often, people are forced to inhale many harmful substances just for a puff of nicotine. E-cigarettes, on the other hand, vaporize a solution that has tobacco flavor (including some nicotine) through heating, providing it for smokers to use.

The first e-cigarette I purchased required me to rebuild the atomizer myself, winding the wire, burning the wire, filling the cotton, and saturating the cotton, etc. The process was really cumbersome. Every time I dripped oil, it would dry out quickly, but the flavor was quite rich, and the vapor was substantial.

Many experienced players enjoy the DIY aspect of this, but for someone like me, it was really troublesome, and there were some leaking issues. Sometimes I felt it was too annoying and just went back to regular cigarettes.

The second e-cigarette I purchased was from the Shanlan brand, which attracted me with its high aesthetic appeal and ease of use. Shanlan E-Cigarette Review The Christmas edition of the e-cigarette came with an original silicone mouthpiece and a mint-flavored e-liquid sample, with a concentration of 3mg. (Generally, e-liquid specifications come in three concentrations: 0mg, 3mg, and 6mg, corresponding to nicotine content from low to high. I personally prefer the 3mg concentration, and the refreshing mint flavor is very enjoyable; if you like a fresh taste, you shouldn't miss this flavor.)

Next, the packaging, which is a storage box, is also a limited Christmas edition. To describe it, it resembles the minimalist design style of an iPhone, very simple, with a quality feel that makes it quite collectible, and it's also convenient to carry around. Opening the packaging reveals the e-cigarette, two atomizer cartridges, a charging cable, and a user manual thoughtfully attached to the lid.

The old version of Shanlan comes in white, black, and brown. The Christmas edition e-cigarette adopts a warm rose red color, which I think is quite fashionable for both men and women, making it a neutral color. After all, it's a Christmas edition, and a lively color is always a good choice.

The 2017 limited edition Christmas e-cigarette has a unique serial number; initially, I thought the number was on the outside, but after searching for a long time, I found it on the top outer wall, needing to unscrew the mouthpiece to find it, which was a delightful surprise.

The bottom of the device features a commemorative logo for the "Christmas Truce of 1914," cleverly combining elements like a Christmas tree and a telescope, showing great attention to detail!

The charging port is hidden at the bottom; pressing down on the recessed area reveals the charging port. The device has no buttons; the only visible feature is an LED indicator light that shows the working status and battery level. A green light indicates that there is more than 40% battery remaining, while a red light indicates that there is more than 20% battery remaining. The battery indicator is very clear, and charging is convenient; you can even charge it with a power bank when you're out.Shanlan E-Cigarette Review
Next, let's talk about the quality. The previous e-cigarette I bought was box-shaped and had an average feel. The Shanlan e-cigarette body is entirely aluminum alloy, wrapped in genuine leather, and the warm rose red color is both stylish and high-quality. This model seems to be designed specifically for business occasions; its shape resembles a cigar, making it look very classy when taken out in social settings, and it doesn't produce secondhand smoke that affects others, giving it a high-end feel.

Initially, I was worried about its size being inconvenient to carry around, but after getting it, I found it perfectly sized, about the height of an iPhone 7, fitting nicely in my pocket, making it easy to take anywhere.

Now, let's discuss the atomizer cartridge. For beginners, the assembly steps can be too complicated; those who are lazy just want it to be as simple as possible.

I considered purchasing Shanlan also because its atomizer cartridge is integrated; when it wears out, you just replace it. The assembly method is simple: unscrew the e-cigarette, take out the atomizer cartridge, and fill it with e-liquid. With a 2ml capacity, I can use it for a day. Moreover, this atomizer cartridge has its own patented design, significantly reducing leakage issues, which greatly improved my impression of e-cigarettes.

A friend asked me: If I have to change the atomizer cartridge frequently, won't it be very expensive? Let's do the math: one pack of cigarettes a day! One pack costs 25 yuan, so in a month, that's about 750 yuan! A bottle of e-liquid costs 70-90 yuan and can last at least 15 days, so in a month, that's about 200 yuan, plus 4 atomizer cartridges for 156 yuan, making the total for e-cigarettes around 300 yuan a month. I think that's quite cheap. Moreover, the seller also gave me 2 extra atomizer cartridges, making it even more cost-effective.

Some e-cigarette users enjoy "tinkering" with heating wires, atomizers, and voltage adjustments to experience changes. While rebuilding atomizers is highly operational and fun, it's not easy. The new Shanlan standard configuration is quite impressive; you can download an app, connect via Bluetooth, and adjust the vaporization power and temperature within a 500-meter range; you can also easily check the remaining battery level; it even has a Bluetooth child lock feature, which prevents smoking when activated, so you don't have to worry about kids accidentally vaping at home, making it very user-friendly.

Some e-cigarettes require you to press a button to use them. Shanlan doesn't have this operation; I can just pick it up and vape whenever I feel the urge, with no operational barriers, which is a big plus! Most importantly, the flavor: if I rate the taste of cigarettes at 100 points, I would give the Shanlan e-cigarette 90 points. The vapor production can be adjusted, and the flavor is good, with a throat hit that is smooth and not harsh. Previously, when I DIYed, I often choked, but with Shanlan, that doesn't happen.

Additionally, Shanlan has two flavor modes: the first mode involves holding the airflow hole while inhaling, which is closer to the taste of traditional cigarettes, and I find the flavor richer. The second mode allows for larger vapor production and a fuller taste; I prefer the first mode.Shanlan E-Cigarette Review
If I had to point out a difference from cigarettes, it's a pity that it can't be held in the mouth like a cigarette; compared to cigarettes, e-cigarettes are still heavier.

In conclusion, I am very satisfied with this review; the price is reasonable, the flavor is smooth, and the vapor production can be adjusted as desired. Pairing it with my favorite e-liquid flavors can bring many fresh experiences to smoking.

However, I must reiterate that while e-cigarettes are great, remember that they are merely a medium to help you gradually break free from the "addiction" of traditional cigarettes. Quitting smoking still largely requires your own firm determination and willpower. If you want to quit smoking, you might as well start with e-cigarettes.
