Aside from some minor differences in usage, these two products are so similar that friends looking to purchase a smoking replacement may find it hard to choose between them. Today, I will provide a detailed comparison between the newly acquired MT and the PHIX that I have been using for a longer period, hoping to offer some reference value.

Looking at the new MT product, aside from the variety of available pods and the actual flavor differences, the packaging of both products is almost identical, with the basic kit including a battery stick, one original flavor pod, a charging cable, and a user manual.

Since the MT has increased its built-in battery capacity from PHIX's 280mAh to 420mAh (according to online sources), the MT is slightly bulkier than the PHIX, thus achieving longer battery life. However, if users are in an office or have easy access to a charging power source, both devices, equipped with fast charging capabilities, do not show significant differences in power capacity during use.

When in use, the LED indicator lights up, and both devices are consistent in this regard. As we know, both PHIX and MT are "auto-draw" devices, meaning that they activate vaporization simply by placing the mouthpiece in the mouth and inhaling. However, in actual use, it is found that PHIX's activation is relatively sensitive, while MT has a slight "delay" feeling, which is relative.

Due to the different cross-sectional designs, the shape of the mouthpiece will create different sensations upon contact with the lips. Whether this is good or bad depends on individual preference; personally, I prefer the smaller PHIX. The top of the MT's mouthpiece is consistent with the pod connection rod, featuring an angled design.

The pod capacities have slight differences, with MT at 1.8ML and PHIX at 1.5ML (according to online sources), both using 5% nicotine salt e-liquid, with similar pod parameters. Although both offer a single flavor pod kit with four pods, PHIX currently has more flavor options than MT, such as strawberry and mint tobacco.

Different brands' pods will inevitably have noticeable differences in flavor and taste. Here, I specifically selected two popular mint pods for detailed description. If one coil affects the overall performance of an RBA, then these two factory-set pods with nearly identical resistance will certainly influence the final flavor performance of both devices.

PHIX's mint flavor has excellent restoration; its mint is entirely reminiscent of fresh mint leaves, with only a hint of sweetness that is not easily detectable. The stimulation upon inhaling is significant, and it excels in mimicking the inhalation feel and flavor profile of traditional cigarettes.

In contrast, MT's mint flavor is different; it does not simply replicate mint but rather presents a fruity mint aroma. Its cooling effect is weaker than that of PHIX, with a more pronounced fruit sweetness, somewhat reminiscent of the old green alien flavor.

In the final comparison of the original flavor tobacco pods, the expected differences also emerged, with MT's pods exhibiting higher sweetness and slightly lower stimulation and tobacco richness, making it less appealing in actual experience compared to PHIX (for seasoned smokers).

The quality of pod flavors depends on the user's taste preferences, and overall performance-wise, if you plan to choose between these two products for smoking cessation or replacement, as a long-time smoker, I would recommend PHIX, as its "hit" response is more pronounced, while MT is softer. In terms of simulating traditional cigarettes, PHIX can provide a greater sense of "satisfaction".
　　Therefore, I will not conclude which is better or worse, as taste is subjective, and since the pod flavors cannot be manually altered, we can only choose based on the actual products offered by the manufacturers.

After a period of use, the airflow holes of the pods may accumulate small amounts of condensation, requiring regular cleaning with a tissue to prevent excessive buildup from flowing into the main device. Additionally, after being idle for a long time, the bottom of the pod and the airway may experience slight leakage, which can be cleaned with a tissue and does not have a significant impact.

Through the above comparison, you should have a better understanding of the slight differences between these two products. The retail price of MT through e-commerce channels is more affordable than PHIX, but it is undeniable that the actual choice of a product will vary from person to person. For me, if I had to choose between the two, I would still prefer PHIX for its superior flavor restoration.
