VOOPOO VMATE KIT Review and Hands-On Experience

Vaping devices are nothing new. Although they first entered China from overseas, years of development have cultivated a number of excellent domestic brands and experienced users. The kit shared today is a setup from VOOPOO: the 200W VMATE variable-wattage
E-cigarettes are not a rare item. Although they initially flowed into the domestic market from abroad, after several years of development, the domestic market has cultivated a number of excellent brands and experienced players. The e-cigarette kit shared today comes from VOOPOO, featuring the VMATE 200W vaporizer and the VOOPOO UFORCE T1 tank.

To briefly introduce the VOOPOO brand, it originally focused on the medical industry. After acquiring the American WOODYVAPES in 2017, it officially entered the e-cigarette industry. It is a company that integrates research and development, production, and sales, with a product line covering entry-level to high-end devices. Its designed mod maintains the record for the fastest firing speed globally, aiming to provide technological, intelligent, and safe e-cigarette products. VOODOO E-Cigarette VMATE KIT Review VOOPOO officially offers eight color options for the VMATE mod, and the UFORCE T1 tank also has eight corresponding color options. The tank comes pre-installed with a 5.5ml straight glass oil reservoir and is equipped with an 8ml bubble glass reservoir, significantly increasing vaping time.

Mod specifications are as follows:

Mod dimensions: 89mm*47mm*30mm

Power range: 5W~200W

Output voltage: 0V~7.5V

Resistance range: 0.05~3.0Ω (power mode) / 0.05~1.5Ω (temperature control mode)

Battery type: 2 x 18650 batteries

Temperature range: 100℃~315℃

Mod weight: 100 grams

The mod is commonly referred to as a regulated box mod, a term that originates from the early designs which were mostly rectangular boxes with little aesthetic appeal. Nowadays, most mods incorporate more design elements, with unique appearances, shapes, craftsmanship, and color schemes, all of which provide a good visual effect.

VOOPOO is a brand that emphasizes design. The VOOPOO VMATE KIT features a rounded overall shape that enhances grip, with a symmetrical design on the front and back, slightly protruding oval black glass that enriches the overall layering. The front features a dynamic LCD screen, while the back displays the VOOPOO logo, paired with a black metallic paint finish that gives a low-key, luxurious aesthetic, leaving a deep impression at first glance.

The VMATE mod measures 89mm*47mm*30mm, making it quite compact. It's hard to imagine it being a dual-battery version. This size feels easy to hold, with a silky paint finish and metallic texture. Weighing in at 100 grams, it is about 20 grams lighter than similar-sized boxes, mainly due to its use of lightweight aluminum alloy instead of stainless steel.

A single 18650 battery weighs about 40 grams, and with the weight of the tank, the total weight of the VMATE KIT is approximately 230 grams, which is not as heavy as one might expect, and the author finds it acceptable.

The battery compartment is located on both sides of the mod, featuring a resin-coated battery cover that enhances the tactile feel. The cover uses a magnetic design, making it convenient for daily battery changes. In actual testing, opening and closing the battery compartment showed excellent magnetic attraction, and it won't detach even when shaken vigorously. VOODOO E-Cigarette VMATE KIT Review The battery cover comes in eight different texture patterns, and the one I have is graphite black.

Installing two 18650 batteries, the SONY C4 battery specifications are: capacity 2100mAh, rated voltage 3.6V, made in Singapore, internal resistance 10mΩ, output 30A.

Firing button:

The VMATE mod features a large display screen that can independently show the battery levels of both batteries, working voltage, resistance, time, and various other parameters. The display quality is decent, but it would be better if the font size were larger.

The VMATE mod is equipped with GENE VAPE SOLUTIONS, the latest GENE FAN custom motherboard, which has features such as mold prevention, waterproofing, and corrosion resistance, enhancing the product's reliability and electrical performance. The firing time (20-30 milliseconds) can reach the maximum value instantly. The main feature of this box is its extremely low firing delay, thanks to the Gene FAN chip.

The operation of the GENE FAN chip is very simple. Long-press the +/- buttons for 5 seconds to set the mode. The mod offers two usage modes: the first mode "W" allows you to adjust the power level, while the second mode "M" provides five usage parameters that can be switched using the +/- buttons, with the default being the first mode. Additionally, you can lock a specific parameter, and the mod will automatically enter this parameter upon startup.

The included tank is the UFORCE T1, which is the second sub-ohm tank released by VOOPOO. According to official descriptions, it features a lot of knurling design, adding a bit of steampunk style, and the bubble glass tank increases the oil capacity. VOODOO E-Cigarette VMATE KIT Review UFORCE T1 specifications:

Additionally, the UFORCE T1 also offers more atomizer core options. VOOPOO has paired it with the UFORCE U2 dual-coil atomizer and the UFORCE N1 single mesh atomizer. In actual experience, the UFORCE N1 atomizer heats up more quickly and evenly, providing a more delicate flavor. Of course, with a performance-oriented mod like the VMATE, pairing it with this tank and lower-resistance atomizers is completely fine.

The UFORCE T1 is a standard bottom airflow sub-ohm tank. From top to bottom, it consists of a drip tip, top cap, connector, atomizer core, glass tube, and tank base. The top cap and airflow adjustment ring on the base feature a lot of knurling design, giving it a rugged style, and it comes in a variety of eight color options.

This tank is excellently crafted overall, with a good feel to the airflow adjustment ring, which has a tactile resistance when turned, so it won't slide on its own.

The top-fill design features a sliding cover that can be securely locked in place. It opens with a slight push, making it easy to refill, and the fill port is large enough that you don't need an extra dropper during use, ensuring a flawless experience.

The 810 wide-bore drip tip, combined with the mesh atomizer, provides a large heating area, resulting in lower airflow resistance and rich flavor. What puzzled me was the design of the drip tip; while resin drip tips are not inherently bad, the color scheme seems mismatched with the steampunk style of the tank. Personally, I feel that black or metallic colors would be more fitting. VOODOO E-Cigarette VMATE KIT Review
The UFORCE N1 is a single mesh atomizer with a resistance of 0.13 ohms, rated output range of 50-100W, and the official best output recommendation is 70-80W.

The UFORCE U2 is a dual-coil atomizer with a resistance of 0.4 ohms, rated output range of 40-80W, and the official best output recommendation is 55-65W.

The atomizers feature a thoughtful design, with a MIN fill line marked on top to prevent dry burning due to insufficient e-liquid. It's worth noting that the atomizers are proprietary, and you cannot use other atomizers to replace them.

The bottom atomizer chamber has three airflow holes, each approximately 10mm*3mm, providing ample airflow. When using lower wattage, it's recommended to close the airflow holes, while for higher wattage, it's advisable to open them wider to maintain the right balance between air and e-liquid vaporization, ensuring the flavor isn't too weak.

Using the N1 and U2 atomizers provides a great flavor experience.

Combining the UFORCE U2 atomizer, starting at 40W with small airflow for slow draws, produces interesting flavors. As the wattage increases and airflow is adjusted, I found that at 55W, I achieved the flavor I desired. However, the mesh atomizer N1 heats up seemingly faster, producing larger clouds, making it suitable for direct lung hits, allowing you to experience the large vapor production that comes with quick heating.

I personally prefer 55W with one-third of the airflow holes closed, as it doesn't produce an airy or constricted draw, and the flavor and noise levels are quite ideal.

Why is there noise? In fact, there is always some sound when drawing in air. The UFORCE N1 has three airflow holes, which means it won't be a quiet tank, especially when all airflow holes are fully opened.

Finally, regarding the lifespan of the atomizers, the UFORCE U2 and N1 atomizers have a lifespan similar to most atomizers on the market. I previously used the U2 atomizer for about two weeks, and so far, there has been no burnt taste, although I feel that the vapor production isn't as strong as before. I'm not sure if it's just in my head, but before switching to the N1 atomizer, I can confidently say that the U2 can still be used.

During my time using this kit, I've been contemplating its highlights and features. After all, at a market price of over 500, finding a 200W e-cigarette mod isn't difficult.

In terms of the VOOPOO VMATE KIT, the highlights include its lightweight feel of 100 grams, the extremely low firing delay brought by the GENE FAN chip, and the instant vaping experience it provides. Coupled with the rapid and even heating of the UFORCE T1 mesh atomizer, which delivers a satisfying direct lung hit experience, it adds significant value to the kit, making it worth recommending to friends. If you're looking for a compact, powerful e-cigarette, you might want to pay more attention to the VOOPOO VMATE KIT.
