ARMOR RTA Review: The core of e-cigarettes is the e-liquid, and analyzing the flavor of e-liquid requires a good atomizer. Over the years, atomizers have made significant progress. The popularity of Clapton coils and NI80 wire has driven the proliferation of single-coil builds, leading to more RTAs designed specifically for single-coil setups. These products have a clear characteristic: single-coil builds are easier to manage, NI80 coils have a longer lifespan, and the flavor profile provided by the coil characteristics is particularly rich, with moderate vapor production... Today, I will share an RTA that continues these advantages while optimizing some structures—ARMOR RTA.

The packaging box uses a lot of industrial element patterns, echoing the retro appearance of the ARMOR RTA itself. The atomizer designed for single-coil builds simplifies the dual-coil production process while achieving a full vapor output, making it extremely convenient for daily use, which is the positioning of this atomizer.

The original packaging is shown in the image above, and the manual only contains simple operational instructions without specifying the atomizer's parameters. According to online resources, this atomizer has a diameter of 25MM and a height of 31MM, with a standard tank capacity of 3ML (an expansion tank of 4ML), and the Clapton coil is made of NI80 material with a resistance of 0.17 ohms (optimal output is 40-55W).

The 25MM diameter design and adjustable bottom airflow allow the compact ARMOR RTA to pair well with many devices without any sense of incongruity. The factory-installed PEI drip tip has an 810 interface, and users can replace it with a preferred smaller diameter drip tip using the included 510 adapter.

Everything that should be included is present; the first impression after disassembling this atomizer is just that. For example, the large top-fill port, the condensation dome at the top of the atomization chamber, the negative pressure oil guiding system in an up-and-down format, and the simple and clear single-coil locking structure...

The nine-hole bottom airflow provides a dispersed, soft, and sufficient airflow, presenting a U-shaped wrap that is more conducive to the direct effect of airflow. Once the coil is installed, there is no need to lift or press down to find the optimal position. The locking slots on the electrode platform facilitate the fixing of the coil legs; these subtle details are the essence of a good product.

The factory provides a shoelace cotton that can be used at least twice, and the original Clapton coil has a 3.0mm diameter. The cotton slot's hole diameter is very precise, allowing the reasonably sized 3.0mm cotton to be inserted without excessive trimming for optimal performance.

This RTA has a large airflow opening, but when the airflow holes are slightly narrowed, you can clearly feel the tightening of the draw. Under the uniform airflow from the honeycomb holes, the single Clapton coil creates a rich flavor and a comfortable draw experience with large vapor production.

The popularity of large vapor products has significantly declined, but there will still be a portion of enthusiasts in the manual rebuildable atomizer (RBA) community who are passionate about rebuilding coils. If you still have a strong enthusiasm for various RBAs, the ARMOR RTA is a high-quality product born in chaotic times; it is easy to operate, offers excellent flavor, and is definitely worth a try.
