I first came across the IQOS vaping device by chance at a retail counter. After listening to the introduction, it sounded pretty good, and I could even try it on the spot. After trying it, it really felt a lot like a real cigarette. I’ve been using it ever since, and so far I haven’t had any of the damage issues other people mention. Plus, the tobacco sticks come in a variety of flavors, so it doesn’t get boring!

Here’s a step-by-step guide to using IQOS. I hope this article helps friends who are using iqos for the first time! IQOS usage tips and pros/cons sharing
  1. When using it for the first time, insert the holder into the charging case. The power light will turn on and pulse, indicating that the charging case is charging the holder. Wait until the power light turns completely off (the whole process takes 3–4 minutes).

  2. Remove the holder, and the indicator light on it will automatically turn on. A white light means charging is complete and it is ready to use. A red light means the battery is dead. (Poor contact in the holder, oxidized contacts, a dead charging case, or leaving the holder unused for too long after taking it out can all cause the holder to run out of power.)

  3. Take out a tobacco stick and insert it into the holder with even pressure. Do not twist it during insertion, or you may break the heating blade inside the holder. (Although it can be repaired, a repaired holder usually won’t charge as reliably, so keep that in mind.) After inserting the stick, press and hold the button for about 1–2 seconds. The indicator will begin pulsing and the device will vibrate—then let go and wait until the indicator stays solid. The whole process takes about 5 seconds. Then you’re ready to enjoy it!

  4. When the battery is about to run out, the indicator will first switch to a pulsing light, and then the vibration will remind you to take your last few puffs. Once the light goes out, it’s over—don’t keep puffing, because no vapor will come out. Here’s the key point: do not pull out the tobacco stick directly at this moment. (Pulling it out directly can easily leave tobacco inside the holder.) First slide up the upper cap of the holder, then you can remove the tobacco stick easily.

Now let me talk about my user experience. IQOS usage tips and pros/cons sharing 1. There’s no smoke smell, no ash, and what you exhale is mainly water vapor. Even if I use it in an enclosed space, the room doesn’t really smell like smoke afterward. This is really great, especially for households with pregnant women or children. It won’t expose people around you to secondhand smoke, and it can also be used in many public places.

  2. The taste is also very close to a real cigarette, and there’s no tar, so it can reduce a lot of harm to your body. It’s also a good option for people trying to quit smoking. I think this is currently the vaping device on the market that feels the closest to a real cigarette.

  3. With the new technology, there’s no need for an open flame anymore, so you don’t have to keep looking for a lighter. It’s really convenient.

Compared with traditional cigarettes, this really has far more advantages. I think vaping devices will be a trend in the future. Aside from being a bit expensive, there really aren’t many drawbacks. Oh, and tobacco sticks can be a bit hard to buy, which is another downside I guess.
