The fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 is a newly launched product under the IQOS brand by Marlboro. I have been recommended IQOS e-cigarettes by friends for a long time, and I finally decided to purchase one when it was newly released. I noticed many people asking about its performance online, so I would like to share my experience here.

1. Appearance.

The fourth-generation IQOS 3.0, although under the IQOS brand, has a different appearance compared to previous models. This time, there have been many new attempts in its design. The most obvious change is the shape of the heater; previous heaters were rectangular and slim, and I jokingly referred to it as a phone power bank when I saw it at a friend's house. This time, the fourth generation has changed the shape of the casing. Strictly speaking, it’s not that the heater's shape has changed, but they have designed the interface on the side, which adds a portion for the USB interface, making the shape of the new fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 heater less regular. This change provides a pleasant visual experience, making the appearance simpler and more elegant, with a strong sense of technology.

Additionally, another significant feature of the fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 is that both the vape stick and heater have a matte finish, providing a great feel in hand and making it comfortable to hold while smoking.

2. Flavor.

This IQOS offers a variety of flavors; I chose the menthol flavor because I bought it to quit traditional cigarettes. The menthol flavor is relatively mild, making it suitable for quitting smoking. However, because the flavor is mild, I found it a bit unsatisfying during the first few puffs, as I had been smoking traditional cigarettes for seven to eight years and needed time to adjust. After using it for two to three days, I got used to it. Once I adapted, I gradually found its flavor quite pleasant; the vapor has a good strength, unlike other e-cigarettes I've tried, which often taste sweet and lack the feeling of smoking.

3. Harm.

As a smoker, the concern about harm is paramount. The fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 uses a heating method that does not burn, thus releasing very limited harmful substances. Moreover, the content of tar and nicotine in the tobacco itself is also quite low, making it much healthier compared to traditional cigarettes.

4. Quitting Effect.

I bought it to quit traditional cigarettes, so my main concern is its effectiveness in helping me quit. Initially, I didn't notice much difference during the first couple of days as I was mainly adjusting to it. However, after adapting, the effect became quite evident. Now, even though I have been using it for less than a week, I only smoke five to six traditional cigarettes a day. When I really can't resist the craving, this IQOS can help suppress it.

Overall, I think the fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 is quite good, easy to use, and effective.
