User impressions of using the first-generation RELX vaping device
The first generation has been in use for over two months, and I have used about 20 pods.
1. Oil leakage issue: It is often said online that the first generation has oil leakage problems, which is mainly due to the pods. About a month before I purchased it, I had no oil leakage issues with this generation, and it was sufficient for my needs. However, after about two months, I frequently noticed oil leakage, and the range has shortened. Oil leakage causes the pods to deplete quickly; what used to last three days now often runs out in a day. When leakage is severe, it can clog the straw, and when inhaling, you hear a gurgling sound, which is actually the vapor bouncing back into your mouth, very uncomfortable. The most troublesome part is when it suddenly runs out of battery; the first generation's power indicator shows zero power, so it needs to be charged immediately.

2. Flavor: Although the first generation has many flavors, there are only 3-4 personal favorites, and I usually buy a box of each flavor, so having many flavors doesn't necessarily mean it's better (and the store usually offers tasting, so you can try all the flavors before buying).
3. Smoking experience: The flavor of the first generation pods continues to be good. It's hard to say whether it's good or not. For someone who has smoked traditional cigarettes for 7-8 years, there must be an adaptation process to resist the change. It's like switching from thick cigarettes to the now-mainstream slim ones; the difference is significant at first, so it's best to get used to them. Additionally, the biggest advantage of the first generation is its cost-effectiveness, but the true value of cost-effectiveness is reflected in the replacement time. At the same time, the fourth generation has a problem: I am a lazy person, and I don't want to carry the fourth generation charging case or several pods at all times.
4. Regarding quitting smoking: E-cigarettes really cannot be used to quit smoking. Users tend to smoke more frequently than with traditional cigarettes. I believe the biggest advantage of e-cigarettes is that they do not affect those around them with secondhand smoke. This was my original intention for choosing e-cigarettes. Of course, there are various opinions on their harmfulness. Testing whether e-cigarettes are harmful indeed takes time.
My personal justification is that e-cigarettes do not pose a risk of carbon monoxide and tar. However, if you are choosing e-cigarettes out of concern for your health, I personally do not recommend it. For health reasons, it's best to quit smoking as soon as possible.
