The Upgraded UWELL Caliburn 7 SE Edition Is Back — What Has Changed?

After UWELL’s CALIBURN pod device made a name for itself in the domestic market, many of the brand’s follow-up products continued using the “Caliburn” name. Among them, the VALYRIAN is also referred to as the “Caliburn 7.” This product has actually been o
The CALIBURN pod system from the UWELL brand has gained recognition since its debut in China, and subsequent products have continued to use the "CALIBURN" name, with the VALYRIAN being referred to as "Cal 7". This product has actually been around for quite some time, but it suddenly went out of production two months ago despite its sales popularity, and only recently has it returned to the public eye.

The reason for this production halt was to upgrade this model, and the upgraded version has added the "SE" suffix. What has changed? Let's take a look.

Upon unboxing, the included items are shown in the image above, and the Chinese manual has also been updated with the SE designation.

The dimensions of the Cal 7 SE version are 92*37.3*17.2mm, made of anodized aluminum, and with a 1250mAh battery, it weighs 72g, with an oil capacity of 3ml. These specifications are not much different from the previous version. The only difference is the change in the surface pattern, and the SE version also adds new color options of water duck blue and glacier gray.

At the bottom, the original USB charging port has been upgraded to a TYPE-C port, which now supports fast charging functionality—this is genuine fast charging! This change is undoubtedly very friendly for products with built-in batteries.

The oil pod connects to the main unit in a pull-and-plug manner.

The oil pod features a push-pull opening, highly adaptable filling hole, stepless airflow adjustment, and a fixed drip tip to prevent condensation, all of which are excellent designs that have been retained.

It is said that the oil pod has improved sealing, but whether this has changed needs to be verified in the market. However, the silicone used for the filling hole tends to become difficult to reset after some time, which seems to remain unchanged, so this needs attention.

When installing and removing the coil, pay attention to the limited positioning points. The factory-provided 0.6Ω and 1.0Ω coils are unchanged from before. #p#分页标题#e#

In actual use, I still recommend pairing the 0.6Ω coil with 6mg regular e-liquid, as it produces decent vapor and has a good layered flavor with sufficient richness. ? The 1.0Ω coil works perfectly with various popular salt e-liquids, maintaining excellent richness, although it has a slight sweetness, which I believe enhances the overall flavor. ? These descriptions of the two coils are aimed at those who have not used them before; both coils are fully functional and provide a great user experience. However, for those who already own the Cal 7, there are no changes.

Overall, this SE upgrade version is merely an optimization of certain details, with the change to a TYPE-C port introducing fast charging functionality, which is undoubtedly an enhancement for products with built-in batteries. However, the overall user experience remains largely unchanged, and it is still an extremely worthwhile product to purchase. ?

Lastly, I wonder if anyone has noticed that this upgraded version surprisingly does not come with a charging cable, which is quite puzzling.
